Heck of a night last night. Got carried away with the whole magical thing.
It's z long story but the local police were not happy when their new riot van turned back into a melon at the stroke of midnight. ANd all those extra beat bobbies into shrews.
By the way crinoline is itchy.

Well. My shave yesterday was a little tired after I ran my hand around my face.
I think that blade will just cut less close. It doesn't pull or tug. Just not as sharp.
Any hoo I'm going to pif the pack on. One blade a person to pass to the next.
Notthe stig is on the list. I guess there might be 4 or 5 left.
After all mAgic is only magic if it's shared....

If you are running your hand around your face to shave you're doing it wrong. Try putting the blade in the razor for better results.

My Pomco slant caught my eye this morning.

Something was wrong.
Oh No!
A ding in the guide bar on one side.
I think it will shave OK but now it looks all disfigured and unhappy.
I larfed at dodgy for having back up razors....now I have to take it all back.
I am slantless.
The hunt will resume.
I love my Pomco too.

This is a very good razor. Not my most fave to use. But a great shaver.

Yes, of my twenty razors I only have 15 favourites! Something's not quite right. I like Yorkshire pudding as much as my fatboy, which is a bum of a lot.

Today I use my #58
Israeli personna.
Too much tailors lemon and lime. I looked and smelt like a lemon merangue pie.
I had enough for 58 passes. Hey perhaps that's why it's a #58.
It's the number of passes to get a bbs.
Well three today actually.
My new magic wand is even more magical as I now command
Microfoam.
Yes maybe I can shave with it....

Not such a good finish. It was ok. And this razor is a lovely piece.

Schick time.
I said Schick.

It came all Pre loaded with a Schick blade ( I think)'ready to rock.
It's adjustable too. 1-7. The dial drops and raises the lower bar to increase blade gap.
I took good advice And started on 3.
It's much like using a multiple blade razor ie handle parAlell to face and use pressure!!
Use pressure. I had a problem there.
A whole year of not doing that and now I have to PRESS!!??
Anyhoo Smithers I used Surrey soAp Pre GTI formula as it is slippery but not too thick.
I've been told the Schick clogs easily.
Now we don't need a Schick clog do we?
Prep as usual plus a little KoS oil to ward off evil spirits.
All good. Nice little sound of hairs being mown down.
Two passes.
A smooth ish irritation free shave.
Under the neck area a little stubbly but I will tweak pressure tomorrow.
Plus go to 4.
Not as efficient as the merkur. Which is now my default memory for close two pass shaves.
More fun and games tomorrow.
Tree lights baubles now officially in place.
Presents officially purchased.
Whoooosh!!!

The blade is a modern personna one from my own stash, on sale at Connaught. The vintage ones are smoother and sharper but more likely to bite if you're not careful. The Gillette ones very easy to cut you! Enjoy.

What's doin NTS,

That's a good idea loading the injector with the currently made Personna blade. It'll give Slimbo a few times to get the hang of any slight technique tweaks that might be needed before trying the very sharp Gillette blade.

Dodgy, I won some injector blades off the 'bay today. Shipping from the United Kingdom of Americaland but cheap enough to avoid customs tax. Still, when the rest of Europe collapses I'll have to pay customs tax from any country I buy from ;-)
Anyway Dodgy, what do you think of these? Asked him to combine shipping - six dollars for both.

You'll notice the first is for twin blade injector blades. You mentioned this in an email the other day saying you'd send a few (I think - I have had to purge my messages as inbox was full). On that basis I guessed these blades will somehow fit a standard injector razor. Is that the case?

What's doin NTS,

Looks like the Gillette blades are the same as what you tried, which is a good thing. The twinjector blades are some I haven't used before.......not that brand anyway. The one I'm sending is an old Personna twin blade that was my go to blade for a while, and if I'm not mistaken, the blade wasn't to be used with a PAL injector or Personna stainless steel model for some reason. See what the ones you receive say on the package back.

I somehow just today picked up an 11 pack of old Schick Krona injector blades that I can't remember trying before. Hmmmm, looks like a few vintage Wilkinson DE blades musta got tossed in the package as well. Now that's odd.....
