RE: 14 jan onwards. All Aboard!!!!!

Dear dumpety dump dumpety dump continue for extra train noises.
I will post pics NTS.
I spent a very formative two years in London. 1979 to 1981.
I was in love. With a girl. She lived in SW6. So did I.
Every weekend and day off. And I had access to free bus and tube as a serving police officer at that time. So i had a ball. Or two.....
My dad is from SE1 so all in all I have a big lurve of London.
I love LU especially.
I have also found 1970's strip diagram of northern line.
All five feet of it!!
How cool.
#16 shark SS
Surrey soap Pre STI formula
KoS oil under. Lush to finish

Again a good shave. The blade actually is getting smoother.
There's a thing.
Mind the gap!!!
Cheers

RE: 14 jan onwards. All Aboard!!!!!

Dear daisy.

#16. What else.
Shark SS
QED rose.
KoS under
Lush to finish.
Great lather today. Very Turkish delight.
Blade again feels uncomfortable.
But again an irritation free good finish.
Lush shave cream that you are supposed to shave with like KoS oil (really!)
I used as after the shave moisturiser.
Works pretty darn well too.
Very noise orange smell. Very non greasy and left nice silky smooth finish.
Many of the lush products I find quite heavily scented but this hits the mark.
It has Neroli oil in too which is good for the chops.
Went outside today and the air was filled with the unmistakable aroma of rice pudding and nutmeg cooking.
There is an oap home nearby and usually it is cabbage and/onions.
So this was lovely.
Took me right back to being 11 years old in the kitchen at home.
We are all big milk pudding fans.
Especially the king of milk puddings...
The great tapioca.

RE: 14 jan onwards. Shark SS. Shave rough but smooth finish!

Look forgot tommention.
Again today was much less conscious offrazor.
This I think is because for a change I'm using the same one each day.
This is a new departure for me. It's great I'm getting more out of the lather and blade.
Great name for a coffee house. Lather And blade.
Pics soon not ready yet NTS.
#16 a very fab razor.
It's all together here. I can really feel the difference in blades.
Altogether pleasant.
As Rommell used to say just before his men got into their tanks.
'Men, get into your tanks. '
Strange but true.
I bet they shaved first though.
Cheers
Tim.

RE: 14 jan onWards ...more Bolzanos to you too...with knobs on

Dear Dodecahedral,

Well another day with the Bolzano locked and loaded into the #16.
Boddy shop Macca (everyone's favourite Beatle) Root have a luxurious lather. No other prep. A fine shave.
This blade is tugging a bit more now, but not as much as the Shark on day one!
Finished with Blighty's Unction.
Today wife at work, daughter at school. Long luscious uninterrupted shower and shave. Felt very indulgent.
each pice of the jigsaw falling nicely into place.
A fine morning, great razor, good blade, Macca (everyone's fave etc...) Root all mixing in to make a feast of delightfulness.
Ah innit nice.

RE: 14 jan onWards ...'andsome shave my son....

Dear Derry

Have hatched a plan.
Don't, whatever you do, tell Dodgy Lemel.
Under no circumstances.
De nada. Zip. Careless talk costs lives.
Nudge nudge wink wink know what I mean guv'nor.

I have painted, with silver paint an old superspeed to look exactly like the #16.
I bulked out the handle with foil and made some grooves in it plus, and this is the really clever part.
I put a tiny piece of card under the head to replicate the baseplate, onto which I have carefully inked in the pat. no.
It's foolproof I think.
Well, until it gets wet I guess.
Oh I have a plan for that too!
I know, I shall
Spray it with some of my Parisienne hair lacquer. That should make it at least showerproof.
It will smell like an 18th century Dandy too. All good.

So ahem ahem
#16
vintage gillette blade
Qed rose
2213
Unction to finish.
Oh and a third pass under the chinny chin chin.
Lovely cold water splash too.
I have a face like a peach.
Well
A 52 year old well loved peach but a peach none the less.
Remember now.
Not a word to he who must not be named.
The dark lord of razors.
Yrs
Lemel Jnr.

RE: 14 jan onWards ...Secret plan afoot....for your eyes only...

Good plan Slick. I would have used an old Bic biro as the handle rather than a real Super Speed, but I'm guessing you're a beginner at 'finding' these.
Can't abide the smell of the admittedly otherwise excellent Body Shop Ringo cream. Something about it gets up my nose (should be more carefukl with the brush).
Looking forward to seeing the pics.
Peachy.

RE: 14 jan onWards ...Secret plan afoot....for your eyes only...

Dear Doser

Due to NTS being clever I've now decided to make a 'dummy' razor from scratch rather than waste one.

So I got some steel.
I got a local engineer to lathe and texture the handle.
Then I got a local tin smith to construct an exact copy of the head.
Then I sent it off for rhodium plating. !!
Sorted. He will never notice the difference.

#16
new forest two band. First outing.
Surrey soap.
This is a smaller brush in the handle and head.
It worked very well. And it's black acrylic handle looks very smart.
Nice one fido.
Unction to finish the work if the vintage gillette blade.
Lovely.
Tobias.

Oh for Gods sake,

The heck is going on here? Slikki, you got some 'splaining' to do (said in a poorly imitated Ricky Riccardo voice). Yeah, I don't do a good Welsh accent.

Having a good buddy like missingjunk is pretty handy, since he's the guy who tipped me off to this whole #16 conspiracy thingy. Since I only briefly look at this thread twice a year, I tend to miss a few things. Jeeeez, there's HOW many views at this goofy thread so far? Now what the hell is up with that?

Anyway, just wanted to let you know I'm now in on this crazy scheme.

Klemel
