Greetings,

A Turkish themed shave to finish my shaving week off and last shift at the mill until the 3rd January...However this year my name is on the call out rota during the Christmas week to assist the maintenance squad if any emergency work needs to be carried out but hopefully everything should be hunky-dory and I won't be needed.

My reacquaintance with the Turkish Derby premium & Usta over the last few weeks has been a pleasant experience and has taught me that you can't reach a honest verdict on a blade/razor after just one shave as i have done in the past....Both the Mühle R89 and Merkur 34C have paired together with the Derby Premium wonderfully throughout the week providing me with smooth acceptable comfortable shaves.

The humble 'Turkish Delight' Arko shave stick never fails to provide a slick protective lather in a short space of time, love it, or hate it, the performance from this humble shave stick is amazingly good.

An enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report....Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Arko Comfort ASB.

Another enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report.

My face is feeling smooth cool, & smelling divine. ;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

While I was looking for a Yaqi brush, I stumbled across this brush from a different supplier. My thoughts were that the handle has a similar look to a vintage Ever Ready Lucite handle. It certainly is visually similar.

Soap: TDS Evergreen Juniper
Brush: Yaqi 24mm Mysterious Space Tuxedo
Razor: Gillette 1974 Slim Twist
Blade: Super-Max Blue Diamond Platinum (1)
Post: Kayaput ASL, Baxter's Balm

It seems ages since this razor got a run out, and just as long since the soap graced a setup. Both performed admirably, as did the Supermax blade. (y)

Brush: PAA Switchback Oumo Silk HMW 26mm
Soap: P&B Bluebird
Razor: CB Karve Brass (E)
Blade: GSB (2)
Post: Cold Water and P&B Bluebird

It's shaves that like that remind me that homegrown software is bloody good. I'm guilty of trying to get hold of US gear...well...just because, but when we have good performers and great scents right here that are significantly easier to attain it reminds me to look closer to home. If you hadn't guessed, I love this bluebird, stunning strong scent with good performance. Remarkably only my second P&B, first being spitfire, and I'll likely look at others.

Smooth, refreshed and smelling good, hope everyone has a cracking day!

Cheers

Marc

I am impressed with the S1, it seems to suit me perfectly. I need to run some sharper blades through it as i am finding it very forgiving. At no time does it indicate its going to bite, a very comfortable shaver.
A face full of soft badger, 2 passes XTG and ATG then a nice post shave for a very nice face feeler- what's not to like.
Stay safe and enjoy your day all
