Awesome cream/soap!! Beautiful refreshing scent with a rich, creamy and slick lather...
Another excellent shave with the razor paired with this (palm-stropped) blade!! Buttery smooth, very comfortable, and efficient in 3passes for a bbs finish! The aftershaves were great.

Ah, the Rooney Polo 2 Super Badger brush. To misquote Robert Oppenheimer, who himself was quoting Krishna,
"I am become death, the destroyer of Soaps!" And so it was, with my precious tub of Rhapsody now showing a ring of death.

This one's been sitting in the cupboard for a while following a BST purchase, and today was the day. While the quality of the later was superb, the scent was a bit..... meh! Primarily patchouli, there was little of the multi-tiered scent I was waiting for. As with some other BST purchases, this may be down to the age of the soap, and the scent having dissipated over time. Nice enough, but not the Wow I was hoping for.

SOTD: 15/11/2021

Razor: Tatara Masamune
Blade: Feather Hi-Stainless , 1st use
Brush: Yaqi Cavern Lake two band badger
Bowl: Dscosmetics Shaving Bowl
Prep: Shower and PAA Cube Unscented Soap
Preshave: PAA Cube Unscented Soap
Soap: Taylor’s Of Old Bond Street Lime Zest Cream
Aftershave: TOBS No. 7 Lime Aftershave
Balm: Bart’s Balm Ben Cruachan Balm
Additional Care: Osma Laboratoires Alum Block

I love this creamy lime zest soap, and it’s much under used. The mild Masamune paired with the super sharp feather was an absolute treat! No issues and BBS with ease. This will probably be my last outing with the Yaqi Cavern Lake badger, as much as I love the look and feel of it, I’m trying to trim my den and I have a custom handle on the way so it’s one in one out I’m afraid!
Have a good week guys.

Brush: PAA Peregrino
Soap: MdC Fougere
Razor: Parker InjRzr
Blade: Accutec Personna (2)
Post: Cold Water and Pitralon

Finally got around to trying the pitralon with the MdC Fougere, it does indeed seem to work well. I think for my tastes I prefer the Arlington but it won't stop me using it on occasion. MdC were kind enough to send a reply to my query though, they suggested their Copra, Chamomile and Lemon oil. Might be something to consider in the future.

Hope everyone has a grand day!

Cheers

Marc

Yesterday's shave was that good that this morning I didn't really need to shave, so I'll leave it until tomorrow.

It must be the combination of the Lupo .72 and the Gillette Perma-sharp, plus the Droid Black soap - am awaiting the matching splash/gel to become available, so that I match - no way I'm paying the shipping to get some from across the pond, it was as much to get it shipped as it was for the gear itself!

For a very soft brush, the PAA Star-craft must have also played its part, although, I usually prefer the 'scritch' I quite liked the feel and the lather I generated in the Giles bowl I used. There was enough left over for the Missus to do her legs too.

I finished off with the Fine American Blend splash, although not sure how well this matches with the soap, as I'm still a little light on what I can actually smell!

If anyone knows a good substitute for matching with the black, let me know! I'll be waiting for the A/S to become available if not

After all of that, I watched remembrance Sunday on the TV and thought of absent friends, as I'm still isolating.

Have a fine week.
