Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1,103

Great shave with my aluminum handle ER 1912 Made in England. Had a generous viewer and YouTuber reach out and gift me a Bakelite case for this razor I had and wanted to thank him. Great shave but #11 on the Gem although giving great results is pushing it for my whiskers and was binned after the shave. Hope everyone has a great Sunday !

The smoothest shave I’ve had yet from my Hone 15a. I love the Future Fiction and wish I could get the splash to match the soap, it’s such a great scent and soap.

Razor - FrankenStar
Blade - Lord Platinum #2
Post - Nivea balm & sample of TDS Neroli, Orange & Jasmine lotion - very nice
Been a little while since last shave in work, but an early morning start on the bicycle meant I was rewarded with another smooth return from the FrankenStar and it's supporting cast.
Take care all and enjoy your shaves.

A late afternoon shave today. The Artist Club SS gave a good result on the cheeks and neck, but the chin was left a little wanting, so, I grabbed tomorrow morning’s razor, the ATT SE1 Calypso, and touched up the chin. Good, fun shave.

Better and better ...

So far I've done 3 & 5, 4 & 6 and the last couple of days, 5 & 7 with today on the 7 plate. I noted that I enjoyed 6 more than 5 and today, I enjoyed 7 more than 6. Why? Well, I'm heavy-handed and always inadvertently end up applying more pressure than is necessary. While I'm not necessarily getting more or less aggressive shaves from the plates as the orientation of the blade in the head to the handle is more than perpendicular and so my technique is taken from the cap, the guard not actually functioning and the gap all but moot since I'm shaving daily.

But, what I will say is that on the lower plates my heavy-handedness can run unchecked; with the higher plates I'm subconsciously more aware and so take a lighter touch throughout the shave. I guess the face feel of the razor with the 5 plate is so that I'm kinda caught just shy and have to consciously lighten pressure, on 4 I will press to hard, 3 certainly so ... but with a 6 I specifically noted that I did not have to consciously lighten pressure and with the 7 absolutely not.

The last couple of days with a Treet Classic have been really nice. I find my face responds well to carbon and gives me softer regrowth. My strategy from here is to try a couple of shaves with quite the contrary a blade, something super-coated like the Super Shave X or the EuroMax Platinum. I guess I should pull some extremes, so probably 2 & 8, then 1 & 9 and for the finale ... the mighty 10!

Themed 'Sublime' this was last night's shave and first entry to the week

20211113_200957.jpg

Resplendent razor - Razorock Hawk V3
Bodacious blade - Feather Super Professional
Brilliant brush - Razorock 400
Limesub cream - Menrock Scicilian Lime
Magnificent moisturiser- Pure
Shittingly Super scent- Dior Eau Sauvage

Not even near the top of my firm shaving favourites, but for some reason stick them altogether by the same sink, do that shaving thing and the results were bloody sublime. This is probably theeeeee best shave I have ever had. Mind bogglingly superb. God, even the Eau Sauvage which I am not a great fan of smelt brilliant.

A top notch shave

If you say so you boring twat

So happy you can have some more Puffyshoes
