Razor Yaqi DLC
Blade Polsilver Super Iridium 1st
Post & Aftershaves Stirling Witchhazel MitA + Hyaluronic + Axe Signature Denim
Soap qualities are really good! Nice scent with good strength, rich creamy and quite slick lather...enjoyed this!
Shave with razor paired with this famous blade was surprisingly just passable. It was not as smooth comfortable nor crisp in 3passes but without issues for a bbs/dfs finish.

Prep: Shower, Palmolive Olive Oil Soap
Soap: Meißner Tremonia Indian Flavour
Brush: 24mm Yaqi Sagrada Familia Tuxedo
Razor: 60's Gillette Tech
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (2)
Post: TSD Kayaput ASL, Baxter's Balm

First time using the Meißner. Scent is spices and a hint of mint. Appearance is corned beef! ;) Performance is mightily impressive. One loading of the brush produced enough lather for three full shaves let alone three passes. Slick enough and a great post-shave feel. So much so that the Baxter's has been left out of the regime.
The GSB has performed well on its second day as expected, and the Tech is now producing more than acceptable shaves.

Your soap looks like a raw beef burger.

You'll never be able to unsee that now ;)

I can live with that. I soaked the tub when I first got it as the soap was rather dry. Within an hour the middle 2 inches of the surface had turned the exact colour and consistency of a blister covering a burn  Thankfully the puss-like appearance was swept away within a couple of swirls of the brush before use :ROFLMAO:

Seygus Zeppelin 2.0 + astra SS (blue) + Cyril Salter hard soap (tallow) + Alvarez Gomez Cologne... trusted combination.
Wow.
I can't praise sufficiently the Cyril Salter. I use it as a pre-shave, rubbing it on the face with little water and leaving it up while I prepare the razor and lather up. Gives a level of protection and comfort that prevents me to purchase anything else...

This morning I got bitten!

Despite my initial thought to stick to Pro Guards until I get some mileage, I decided to go for the Lights thinking they'll be a milder blade and to see how the shave feels without those guards. Well yes they are milder as they don't protrude as much as the pro guards but because of that I'm finding a bit more difficult to find the right angle. First shave with the Lights went pretty well so this morning it was the second run with the same blade.

All was good until my XTG pass and left hand in charge. On this nefarious stroke the attack angle was off by a few degrees......just a few ;).
Did I get punished because of that? Oh yes I did. The merciless light blade left an inch long reminder on my cheek that sharp objects should be ALWAYS treated with the deserved amount of respect. Finished the pass with the shavette but deflated by the event I went to my Tatara Masamune for the ATG pass. Not having used a DE in more than a week this was a very very pleasant experience. They don't call them safety razors for nothing. Perfect BBS finish!

I'll put the beast back in its cage for the weekend, let the wound (and ego) heal a bit and then back on my shavette journey from Monday.

Sorry, but I was in no mood to take a picture of the perpetrator!

Despite using the incredibly easy lathering Extro soap this morning, the Semogue brush is still killing lather between passes. It may be the nicest boar that I have used, but is it worth the effort when I have so many other brushes that just work. The Mühle R41 head (the most recent one) produced the usual ultra efficient, close shave with the med prep, so not all bad then.
