Result: Reasonable. Had to finish off with Digress/Kai DE blade combo for some awkward bits that I struggled to mow down to an acceptable level.

All the best,

Jon

Pre: Face wash an a dash of some exfoliant stuff the Missus has.
Cream: Runny Ingrams
Razor: Valet VC1
Blade: De-spinned GEM
Post: Cold Water & Alum

Wow! Good enough for Mr Churchill...good enough for me! Cool shave, the VC1 handles nearly as well as a 1912, once I get used to the slightly head heavy nature of the beast I'll be flying! Overall good BBS shave, a little bit of sting from the alum, pretty sure this was due to a bit of pressure due to the weight of the head, I'll get it sorted tomorrow.

Mastro Livi Carbon Steel K720, 7/8 Full Hollow, Square Point

This is the ninth Mastro Livi in my collection. It is an amazing razor: smooth, velvety, giving an impeccable shave. This is the first plain carbon steel razor made by Mastro Livi in my collection and I must say it is a magnificent razor, just like all the other ones I own, of course. Memorable! Now I wish to have more!

Semogue Owners Club
Alcolado Glacial

I find it hard to believe that my best shaving razor is over a 100 years old..
Really nice comfortable shave, slight irritation, probably didn't prep as well as I could have.

Pre: Proraso green pre-shave cream
Cream: TOBS Jermyn Street
Brush: M&F Chief, 26mm blonde badger
Razor: Merkur Digress
Blade: Crystal (1)
Post: Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, followed by Pinaud Clubman

Digress provided another great shave. Used a Personna Israeli Crystal blade which was sharp & smooth on the #2 setting.

EJ89
supermax 4
generic boar brush
Bond "fresh" cream and as lotion
s8 balm

couple of nicks - this blade was a bit tuggy on shave 1 but became smoother with subsequent use. i'm still undecided about the EJ - i'm definitely shaved but i always find it unsatisfactory. Love the handle and the look of the razor but i think the head is a bit bobbins. anyhoo, great Polish shave cream and a/s. The scent is sweet orange and amber and the skin care is top notch. not bad for 2 quid!
