ATT M2 Kronos
Personna Lab Blue (4)
Clinique Post-Shave Healer

I've had two shaves with the Wilkinson Bonded cartridge razor and I like it. It's mild yet I can feel the blade (especially on my chin, where I go slow). Teamed it up both times with Palmolive stick, cheap boar brush and a drop of agua de colonia to finish

Face wash with Pears soap
Feather Artist Club DX folding / Pro Blade
Simpson “Chubby” 3 Manchurian Cobalt
Nanny's Gentleman's shaving soap - French Lavender
Myrsol Agua Balsamica

Smooth & close.

Good stuff! Maybe I was being a bit slap-dash with mine ...

Blade : Personna Isreali red(2)

Late night shave as in early at work tomorrow.
Pretty good shave just a few more weepers than I am used too.
Caught under noise in same place as a few shaves ago.
These open combs give great shaves but are not very forgiving. ..
Just a question is there an easy way to centre the blade in an old?
Going to use a full bar razor for rest of week to give skin time to recover.

Have a good week

Paul

Yeah, those heads need good technique and even so you gotta be real careful. Lots of people really like em, although I'm not a fan.

Centering the blade takes watching as the cap is being snugged down...no way around having to sometimes screw with it a little. I believe those razors were meant to be used with a somewhat different blade. I watch for the alignment on any razor made like that.

A very nice shave to clear the weekend's growth. BBS in two passes.

Monday 21st July 2014
Prep: Shower
Razor: Joseph Elliot 6/8ths
Brush: Semogue OC SE 2012 Mixed
Cream: T&H No. 10
Aftershave: Astral Cream (light)

My fourth straight shave and it was not a great one, several nicks that bled like mad, the bathroom sink looked like I had just dressed a freshly shot hare!

I never for a moment expected this to be easy but it is harder than I thought; my biggest single problem seems to be the razor coming to a dead stop against the bristles and it certainly pulls a lot more than I thought; the blade is obviously cutting as odd places on my face where I have got it right have ended up really smooth.

It also seems to me that my lather does not seem to provide the slip it does when SE shaving, do you need a wetter lather for straight shaving?

I am not put off and will continue but I need two healing days of shaving with something more forgiving!

Regards
Dick.
