What a cracking shave, OCs are SO much more efficient! 2 easy passes and a couple of touch ups and its as smooth as I've had.
Superb!

Took my first shave with a dovo best quality 5/8,pre shave watch a few clips on youtube of what to and what don't to do. took a long soak in the tub,hot towel lathered up and dug in....trying to be careful nicked my chin once or twice but not to shabby after 3 of 4 goes at it if I say so myself.
Feel happy with my first efforts even if it did take half an hour but loved every second.:icon_razz:

Good on you! I think my el crappo Edwin Jagger is from the same stable, just not the same quality control, perhaps. It never really grabbed me, but stood me in good stead for the razors that do set my heart a flutter - slim shady types, like 3/8ths and Kamisoris. I'm happy I can run a straight edge around my face without issue now. It sounds like you're in the same place now ...

... that said, I just caught my lower lip with a loaner the other evening. Nothing to show after a cold rinse and alum, but curiously, the day after a direct 2" upright emerged on my neck; not cut, just a red line. Fun, innit? :D

Superb!

I love British long combs. We got something very right, there. Do look out for a New Standard. Now that's a great shave.

First time with an injector razor of any kind. Very nice 3-pass shave. Drugstore blades weren't very sharp, but we got there in the end.

Result: Return to the Otoko and this time with minimal water - much better. Much, much better. The Braveheart head and Maggard handle increasingly seem like a match made in heaven. Rapira Super Stainless felt excellent today as well. Splendid!

Cheers,
