I can see why the SOC Boar is so highly rated, it performed very well on its first use, I look forward to how it will perform when fully broken in.
The jury is out on the Blue Stratos for the moment, flowery talc sort of scent, it might grown on me.

Not my finest attempt at building lather today. Started with a brush that was too wet and I didn't load enough soap. Nevertheless the shave worked out just fine. Sometimes you get lucky!

* So there I was with my newly acquired weber bulldog handle but what to slap on the top? Part of my mind is going "go on put the ikon OC on, but the other wanky part is going "go on put the 23c on"

Usually I just ignore that inner wanker within, but this time I trust him.
Now you just know that was a big mistake don't you? Bad,Bad,Bad,Bad!

Not sure what that was, but my face is not happy, don't listen to that inner turd, right now he's laughing. :mad:

The handle is lovely, I did put the ikon head on and the shave improved but alas the face was already trash by that time.

Man, I am really enjoying these Gillette Platinum blades. I'd made em one of my two go to blades a looong time back, but switched to the Q-Ball blades months ago. I believe I prefer the Gillette Platinum just the same. Such an easy blade to shave with, and (for the new members) most technique mistakes can usually be caught before any damage is done. Forgiving but still very sharp.
The Omega 11150 is new and still not broken in, but did a very good job and less scratchy than expected.

First outing with the recent Simpson acquisition and I found it to be really good. Soft tips with a fair bit of backbone and lathered the soap with ease. Great, close shave.
