Hot shower
Hot flannel
Palmolive stick grated scuttle lathered
Simpson Hive Manchurian badger brush
Gillette NEW Deluxe
Sputnik (3)
Cold rinse
Thayers Lavender witch hazel
Boots Freshwood aftershave

Clean and comfortable shave. The last day for the Sputnik, a change of razor and blade for tomorrow plus different software.

Weber polished head with classic handle / Personna Platinum Chrome
MÜHLE silvertip fibre (medium)
Weleda shave cream
Weleda aftershave balm

Although I've had the Weber for a couple of weeks, this is the first opportunity I've had to use it. Hefty, isn't it? Only one shave so it's early days yet but so far I like it, it has just the right amount of 'bite'. I can't help but think I'd have preferred the bulldog handle... although if I'd have bought the bulldog I'm sure I'd be wondering whether the classic handle was more to my liking, that seems to be the way my mind works... anyone have a spare weber bulldog handle they can loan me and put me out of my misery? I'm a big fan of the Personnna Platinum chrome but I feel like the Weber calls for a blade that's just a tad sharper. Lovely razor though, fantastic knurling and finish.

Stop bottling it and get that 39(c) loaded! :)

Wednesday 16th October 2013 -losing my slant virginity

Prep: Shower
Razor: Merkur 39C Slant - thanks Cyril
Blade: Permasharp (1)
Brush: Vulfix Bodger
Soap: Martin de Candre - thanks Cyril although I think it's mine by rights now
Aftershave: Imbat lemon cologne
Balm: Blueness spice marine - thanks Burak

Effortless shave - 2 passes and a wee tidy up
Strange - once I got over the look of the slant and the fierce reputation it has and put it to my face - it was effortless and thoroughly enjoyable

Another razor added to the must have list - I think it would be for special uses as opposed to an everyday razor, after a week off work without shaving, I'm sure it would be magic on several days growth.

The Futur is the other one on the list but has just moved down a place. Need to try a Progress or a Digress now! Cyril?

Hot flannel
Proraso pre, menthol
Omega 11137, Nanny's soft soaps, tea tree & aloe vera
Merkur Progress (#2.5), Rapira (2)
Cold splash
Clinique post-shave soother

Very good shave... clean as a whistle and as comfortable as a pair of fur-lined Y-fronts

Now then today had an appointment directly after work so instead of shaving bleary eyed at 5am I picked up a selection of stuff and shaved in work.
Got some funny looks as I don't think a lot of them will have seen a shaving brush before. Was actually a good shave surprisingly

Soap arko
Brush dr Harris h1
Razor Shavecraft 101
Blade gillette goal super platinum
As selin

Two passes not a perfect shave but good enough only the second time using these blades as I only had 5 ( thought I'd picked up a box of super thins) there not a bad blade a little smoother than the normal stainless goal blades in the green pack.
As I've found more available on eBay I may purchase some more for future use

Hot Shower
MdC
Digress brush with low loft 24mm silvertip
Digress SS
Rapira Swedish (1)
Floid the genuine
Blueness balm.

First day with the Digress AND Digress brush :icon_razz:

Wonder if they will prove popular and go into production? :icon_razz::icon_razz::icon_razz:

Brush and razor look stunning together. I for one would be really interested in the brush if it went into production.

Prep: Hot wash/splash
Pre: BBR Pre shave oil
Soap: BBR Shave cream
Brush: Semogue 1305
Razor: EJ DE89
Blade: Permasharp super
Post: Warm rinse/Alum/cold rinse
AS: BBR Post shave gel
EdT: Hugo Boss Night

Played it safe today and went with a trusted set-up. Great shave!!

Wednesday xvi October, 2013

Pre: Shower, Kiehl's Energizing Facial Fuel Wash
Prep: Proraso White Pre/Post
Brush: Neep Custom '67 Threepenny bit
Soap: ]MWF
Razor: Digress HD
Blade: Feather Seikan #1
Post: Homebrew Lemon Tea Tree Menthol WH, Institut Karité

Result: I've been time poor over the last couple of days so I had a decent about of stubble to shift. The MWF lathered beautifully and all looked to be on course for a great shave. I selected a sharp blade to slice through my beard. Oh dear. a distinctly below par, if not unpleasant experience. I put it down to the blade. It will get one more chance and we'll see. Onwards and upwards!!
