Pre Confiança glycerin soap + DR Harris Arlington + Omega Nº45 boar + Merkur-Pearl with Supermax Platinum + 4711 cologne with Proraso balm

A really pleasant shave, this Omega is probably the most luxurious boar brush I have tested until now! Really good for a warm, creamy lathering!

Cheers!

Cobra Classic - Dorco Blade

Penhaligons Sartorial shaving soap
Proraso Green A/S
Tom Ford Italian Cypress

After reading on here that the Penhaligons soap had undergone a reformulation, curiosity got the better of me and I've had to get one to try.
Sartorial is a new addition to their soaps so I picked one up first thing this morning.

I'm quite pleased with its first time out, no fizzing away as seemed to be part of the issue with the previous version of the soaps.
Maybe the lather could have been a little slicker but maybe I just need to get to know it better. My little Thäter ripped into it with gusto :)

12th Tabactober
Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Proraso preshave - sensitive
Soap: Tabac
Brush: MÜHLE Kosmo silvertip synthetic
Razor: Merkur 37C Slant
Blade: Gillette Super Thin (2)
After: Oldspice AS, Tabac ASB

My first really successful face lather using a soap (not a stick) today. Lather consistent throughout the 3 passes and the brush held more than enough plus touch ups. Just the right amount of skin massaging from this lovely brush.

Chill harvest still coming in, some of them are right big bodgers too. Smashing stuffed with blue cheese and toasted pine nuts and grilled.

Good weekend, gents.

For this mornings shave, I went against most advice where everything in my shave was new to me, with the exception of the pre and aftershaves. I'm glad I did! The Xpec cream gives a great lather, the scent, although I like it, it's not a favourite but I'm glad I have bought it. The Cobra is an awesome bit of kit, the build quality isn't anywhere near iKon levels, but it is just a great razor! I got a near BBS on a 2 pass irritation free but I went for the third pass ATG and it did give a BBS it left a couple of small weepers. My first impression of the Cobra is that it may just be the best razor I own, let down slightly by the build quality.
