One Planet moisturiser
Palmolive cream

Nice close shave. First try of the a/s lotion and pretty good. Like the smell more than Harvard

Two passes.
Smooth baby. Getting some good results at the moment.
Change of grip made big improvent.
Had found fingers had crept right along the handle.
Now holding handle much nearer the end. Behind the point of balance letting the razor lean against my face using the weight of the razor. It also means I can only really use one angle plus it's much harder for me to exert any pressure.
All good.

That's a nice mini straight ,has nice curves

Yes, I've been fascinated by this razor for a couple of years now, but always thought they did cost to much... It wasn't cheap this time, but not dirt expensive either.

t+h trafalgar soap face wash
palmolive stick face lather
simpson brush
BBR razor
personna lab blade
nivia balm
t+h spanish leather

two passes, it was ok. mucked up original lather(nanny's spearmint) so had to take over with the palmolive, which ended a bit dry, so a little irritation. but good enough.

this morning's razor

A 1960s aluminium handle tech
Dove soap/extra hot face cloth prep
Feather blade
Kent BK2 brush
Taylor's sandlewood shaving cream
Geo.F.trumper sandlewood Skin Food to finish.

Some times over looked by vintage shavers first time around,
but disscoverd later.
For me this is as close to a straight razor shave as I can possably get with a vintage DE razor , a little odd with the aluminium handle at first, but with a feather blade in, it shaves very close, but with confidence and comfort.
The only fly in the soup is the handle, they crack so be aware when buying one, and when using it, dont over tighten it or *crack*

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

Marshall Fields rebranded Simpsons best
1970s M type Schick adjustable injector/Gillette Platinum Plus (NOS 1970)
J. Peterman 1903 SC
RL 'Safari' AS Relief Balm (vintage)
RL 'Safari' EdT (vintage juice)

BBS results,

For the last couple of months I've been shaving just my chin, my sideburns and my neck.

So, today: MWF / EJ BBB / EJ86 / Red Personna / Old Spice AS

My 'tache (Imperial) is almost 3 inches long now I'm liking it more than the handlebar as it's less of a faff to maintain. I might grow the rest of the beard out now to see what it looks like ... was surprised to see just how white it is in places!
