SOTD w/c Sat 17th - Fri 23rd incl.

This evening:

Hot shower
Feather Artist Club RG (wood), Pro blade (1)
Taylor's Lavender cream
New Forest Tubby 2
King of Shaves ASB

Rather nervous before this first go with the un-guarded blades. Fabulous shave, close and comfortable. Better than the guard blades? Possibly. I think it gets closer faster.

Hot Shower
Merkur 38B
Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow (1)
Truefitt and Hill 1805 Cream
Kent BK4
GFT Lime Skin Food
TOBS Jermyn Street Cologne

Acceptable 2 pass shave, considering I was pushed for time. Having exclusively used TOBS last week, I might do a T&H Cream week. I know I'm getting the WI Limes on Xmas Day, so I can rotate the 3 I have now twice each and finish the week with a new one.

Early Tuesday Morning

Puma 3/8, Vie Long Horse/Badger, Penhaligan's English Fern, Alum, Jovan Musk

This tiny puma may have been cheap but it punches above its weight!
The Red Ranger approves this shave.

Monday evening. Just had to try Her out...
Razor: 1938 Sheraton
Blade: Feather
Soap: MWF
Brush: Badger
Aftershave: Masters Bay Rum
First shave with the new - to me, razor. Always wanted to try Gillette's 1st TTO. Wasn't disappointed! Shaved every well, nice weight to it. Worked well with the feather.

Hot shower
Feather Artist Club RG (wood), ProGuard blade (10)
La Toja stick
Vulfix 404 "bodger"
Trumper's Coral skin food and GFT cologne

Quick and uneventful two-passer before the banquet. Not as close on my neck as a three-pass, but by midnight there's nothing in it.

Enjoyable banquet, much camaraderie. Never thought I'd get picked for England and win a commonwealth gold, even in such a minor sport. Quite pleased.

I may try the un-guarded blades tomorrow, now I'm off work.

Just re-read you passage. Congratulation !! It's alway nice to be recognized for your efforts!

Merkur 38B
Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow (2)
T&H Trafalgar Shaving Cream
Kent BK4
Floid Blue
T&H Trafalgar Cologne

2 passes, lovely shave. Trafalgar is probably my second favourite cream (and cologne) behind TOBS Jermyn Street - though they are so different, there are days when I'm more in a Trafalgar mood. The Gillette Yellows were one of the first blades I tried, but due to sampling plenty of others, I haven't really used them for a while. They really are a great blade, certainly one I'll be replacing once my supplies run down (along with Feathers, Polsilvers, Astras and the 7 O'Clock Blues)

Tuesday

P.160 Tipo Morbido Shaving Soap

A great shave today. The p.160 is one of my favourites, super slick and I love the scent.
