A single pass was enough to tidy up my face this morning after my late shave yesterday. The Fatboy was just as smooth as the Merkur slant, perhaps not as effective. Let’s see how it works in a full shave tomorrow.

A delightful shave today with everything working perfectly. For me the Feather / Kai combo just hits all the right notes.

For me it’s the best scent on any soap
a real top performer.
My skin seems to be holding up shaving every day just now although it is a bit sensitive tonight but it always is after using the progress.

Refreshment - Woodford Reserve Bourbon with ginger ale (Canada Dry, my mixer of choice, which is what I had the other night, not as I stated, Canadian Club, which is actually a Canadian Blended Whisky - and a very nice one as I remember - apologies to any Canadian listeners!?!)

My people got me a new settee, it’s quite comfy, and it matches my eyes, which is why I think they got it.
No, we had to get it because somebody got their paw stuck in one of the backrest seams, and when it came out so did all the stitching, so we had a two seater settee with only one functioning backrest, that’s why!
Well, whatever, this one’s comfy!

First time using the Wahl foaming gel, a gift from a relative. It produces a thin but slick lather and doesn't really have a smell. It does the job.

The blade is still giving me good close shaves.

I had quite a bit of post shave burn yesterday, so changed to a synth and none at all today. It's the second time I have tried this and noticed my boar brushes are giving me brush burn, which is completely bizarre as my well broken Omega is one of the softest brushes I own. Time to put away my lovely boar brushes for a while it seems. I'm unsure to why this might be, I've used boar brushes for years without any brush burn before.

Anyway chaps, have a good start to the week.
