wasn’t really expecting much but one of the shaves of the week.
I hadn't used the 195 in i don’t know how long and i remember people on here saying they didn’t like it or weren’t getting the best of shaves so i kept it at setting 3 just for safety.
After the first couple of strokes i knew i could have cranked it up but decided just to go with the 3 even although it was a bit on the mild side.
Keeping on 3 did pay its dividends as it was top class.
I’m starting to get right in to these very small vintage brushes,
i didn’t think i would like them but actually they are a pleasure.
Paired with the Williams it was a match made in heaven, more than i can say about my football team today.
Tomorrow is another day
Onwards & Upwards

Razor: Rockwell 6s #3
Blade: Gillette Permasharp, 1st use
Brush: Kent H8 Best Badger
Bowl: Lickimat Wobble Green Bowl
Preshave: Proraso Red Sandalwood Cream
Soap: Zingari Man The Rambler Croap
Balm: Zingari Man The Rambler Balm
Additional Care: Shave Tunes Courtesy Of An Easy Sunday Classical Playlist
Additional Care: Wife Sniff Test = That is Going In The Bin, I Wouldn't Even Clean The Windows With It

Not the greatest review of the splash from the wife so it has to go. The Domestic Sergeant Major says the soap can stay if I mask it with a decent splash afterwards. In fact I was invited to go and wash the splash off before I got in to the car. Off to the dusty shelf of doom the splash goes, I have too many other high performers to keep it around. The soap is a great performer but will be used in moderation. The splash is the main culprit.

Razor: Hone 15
Blade: Pol Silver Super Iridium, 1st use
Brush: Yaqi Bali Silvertip Badger
Bowl: Captains Choice Copper Lather Bowl Standard Bowl
Preshave: PAA Cube Unscented Soap
Soap: PAA Future Fiction Croap
Aftershave: PAA Future Fiction Cologne
Balm: Baxter Of California Aftershave Balm
Additional Care: Osma Laboratoires Alum Block
Additional Care: PAA Future Fiction

My favourite PAA paired with my favourite razor, add to that my newly acquired Pol Silver and it was a perfect Sunday shave! The Hone tames the sharpest blade and this was exactly the case here, mild razor + sharp blade = amazing finish. I’m beginning to love this brush and it’s slowly making me want to consider more badger brushes, though where to start will be another rabbit hole to discuss elsewhere!
Enjoy your day guys!
