SOTD : Saturday 25th - Friday 31st July 2020.

Late evening shave today and decided to try out this brilliant shaving kit I bought on eBay...

Pre-shave: usual wash with Glyce soap (Essential prep for any serious wet shaver!)
Shave oil - Extra Virgin Olive Oil with White Truffle (A little greasy but I only needed a few drops)
Brush - This was described as a 'Leather Long Knot' (I was assured it is hugely rare in the wet shaving world)
Blade - Gurkha Kukri SE (I was told to use the small notches near the handle for under the nose)
Post shave #1 - cold water rinse and dabs of powdered Coleman's Mustard (Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!!!!)
Post shave #2 - Sudocrem, applied generously (Not part of the kit...I made this choice out of necessity)

Well, overall, a rather aggressive shave that tended to feel more and more aggressive as I sobered up

@Thommo - see, it don't matter what photo you post ...no one notices anyway

Many happy returns, Chris...I'd stop and chat but I just heard that Henry Cavill is next door!

A relaxing Sunday morning cold water shave.

My vintage Gillette Tech is such a smooth razor, paired together with the 'NOS 94' super silver platinum blade resulted in a very comfortable 3 pass + pick ups near BBS shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous dollop of Wilko ~ Lemon & Black Pepper Body Butter.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.

Stay safe, and enjoy you Sunday ladies & gentlemen.

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Semogue Owners Club LE 2012 Mixed Badger/Boar
Soap: Barrister Reserve Spice
Razor: Wolfman WR1
Blade: Vintage NOS Personna P74 (5)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel; Barrister Reserve Spice Aftershave Splash
Scent: Mancera Cedrat Boise

Didn't quite get the lather consistency right with the Barrister Reserve soap, but it was still good enough to give me a smooth and close shave.

Soap Catie's Bubbles Barnegat Bay
Brush DS Cosmetics 26mm Badger
Razor Gillette Tech
Blade Tatra Platinum 5th
Post & Aftershave
Ice Water + Special Thayers Mix
Hyaluronic + Clubman BayRum
One of my favourite soap. Very good lather from a relaxing face lathering with the brush after a 20 secs direct load from tub. Creamy and slick with a gorgeous scent.
Shave with razor paired with blade was perfect! Sharpish, smooth and very comfortable. 3+1 multiple passes with 1 unexpected weeper. Between bbs and dfs result. Using icy water rinse at the end proves to be better than alum, for the past 3 months. Thayers then Hyaluronic and BayRum completed a good session. 9.5/10

Side note: Amazing how a simple cheap tech can shave so well giving excellent results comparable to much more expensive razors..
VIBR...hmmmm...so differrent from both the BayRum soaps that I like. Too strong clove scent for me this VIBR....
