Despite being ever so slightly tuggy the Excalibur and Kai on its 8th use gave me its best shave yet, very odd. I love this soap and it’s splash and it’s looking like it’ll be my first empty tub needing a reorder.

I enjoyed that!
Using the second of the used NOS Perma-sharp blades from the Slim and FatBoy run - both had a few shaves on them. Earlier in the week i had a really smooth shave with this combo and thought it was a bit of a fluke, today has confirmed that, for me at least, this razor really likes these vintage blades, i will need to run a blade from new next time out.
I really enjoy the Arran soaps products, great scents and great lather.

On paper this should have been a refreshing citrus cracker of a shave. In reality it was a bloodbath! Cuts and nicks on all 3 passes. The alum and post shave rescued things a little bit, but it was a bloody shave.
I suspect the blade to be the culprit. I've had only 1 smooth shave out of 4 - so said blade has been binned. I'll try Personna injector next.
The scents of today's shave were fantastic though, every cloud..............

The original Claymore is very heavy and I find that this grippy Handle allows me to hold it quite securely.Recent use of a guarded blade has proved a success as it is very easy to get ultra close Shaves with little chance of mishap.

The recently acquired Karve with a fairly fierce OC plate did the job on some heavy stubble and nice to use with a 4” handle.
Started off with the Italian soap but it seemed reluctant to produce a decent lather so changed horses in midstream and used the SLC Lime

Post • Penhalligons Endymion Cologne

Hawk V3 and fresh Protouch MG pairing made short work of three days growth.
These guarded AC blades are the smoothest I have used, comfort is off the scale, literally no blade feel. Quite the opposite Proline P blades.

Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Sea Salt & Fennel Extract 2 in1 Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Anbbas Boar.
Face Lather.
Lather : Ach Brito Mogno Shaving Soap.
Blade: Super Max Blue Diamond Titanium. (D2)
Razor: Merkur 39c.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./ Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./ Davidoff Cool water ASL./Cien Sensitive ASB.

A wonderful shave from the Merkur 39c to finish my shaving week off on a high note...

The Super Max BDP blade has been a wonderful match with each razor throughout the week.

The Ach Brito Mogno soap is a wonderful performer it get top marks for it's performance scent protection, slickness & post shave.

Another enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Cien Sensitive ASB.

My face is feeling smooth cool, & smelling divine. ;)
