SOTD : Saturday 12th March - Friday 18th March 2022.

Sunday
Yesterday's shave was essentially ruined by Mrs D after I'd managed a reasonable shave with the Parker shavette for the first time and did pick ups with the InjRzr, which left me pretty well shorn. No pic, as I was rudely interrupted.

Monday
Far better for final shave enjoyment as 07:30 is too early for Mrs D to be out of her bed!
I used a Bolzano blade (gifted with some samples a while ago by @Tony'schin ) in my Lupo .72 and I've had a decent shave with it. 2 plus pick ups. Maybe I was just on it today. American blend to finish off.
Have a good day.

Evening all,

Prep, hot water and flannel
Brush, Boti
Razor, Alpha Outlaw SS
Blade, Supermax Diamond Edge (2nd use)
Cream, Proraso (White one, Sensitive)
Alum
A/S, Wars

As expected, very easy to lather up. Nice and thick. Not hugely keen on the scent. Went on nicely.

So the usual 3 grain pass. A little scratchy and tuggy. I’m unsure if this is related to the cream. Most likely the blade / operator technique.

Overall, a close shave. But a few areas of redness, A small nick. So applied the Alum block and noticeable discomfort in a few places.

I probably won’t bother with the cream again once this one runs out. Prefer the Mineral / Menthol one.

As mentioned, it might be down to the blade so will keep an eye on that when I use them next. I don’t normally get an issue with them on the 2nd use.

Have a good evening all.

Best,

Ben
