SOTD Sat August 4 through to Fri the 10th

Wednesday evening shave. Running late so it was a quick one:
Razor: CJB Blade Handle (Feather clone).
Blade: Feather ProGuard
Brush: new Turkish Horse (new design)
Soap: new to me: Turkish Dalan D'men cream. Worked very well in the Suribachi . Great bowl, nice cream soap.
AS: Clubman Classic Vanilla
Alum
Balm: Nivea Replenishing Balm

It is a nightmare, that cat's my teenage daughters most precious friend in the world (we all love the crazy little fur ball, but my daughter...).

Realised I haven't used a DE in a few weeks, I've been rotating between a Feather Artist Club SS and a Streamline. Nice change of pace this morning. BBS results.

PS. Mikael, good luck finding your cat. I've had one go missing before and it was awful. He came back after what must have been quite an expedition.

Cheers Rich! We have printed posters now and will go out with them today, but there's really nothing much else you can do and since we're not at home (far, far away) it feels even worse. We've already walked the roads and looked around good.

Some more arrivals from Scent From Heaven. I am impressed with the performance of the Tabac but lathered I really don't like the smell. I've left the lid off in the hope the smell diminishes a bit (a lot?).
Wasn't disappointed with the SFH shaving soap. Great smell and lathered easily. Good slickness and cushion. Face didn't feel dry after but still used her lacoste a/s balm as that's great too.
Wasn't disappointed with the cheapo cartridge either. Felt a little draggy at first but got better as the shave went on. A great result and very enjoyable too

Well i gave the Dubl Duck it's first ever honing yesterday then 50 on my bench paddle strop with a little chromium oxide 50 on the linen and 100 on the leather, she gave out a lovely smooth shave, not unsimilar to my other German square point the Maxotte razor, but it as a very unforgiving point on both those razors which i'm more than aware of.

Razor: Dovo 5/8"
Brush: Neep #1156 cocobolo chubby 24mm extra silvertip
Soap: Nanny's Ice & Slice (soft)
Aftershave: Prof Blighty's Red Ginger

Very nice. Lovely scent to the soap, good lather, nice chill.

Pre Veleiro soap + Continente Marine shaving cream + Semogue 1335 + bakelite slant with Astra #4 + 4711 splash with Veleiro balm

A good shave, although Astra blade wasn't very sharp, I must change it.
