The Semogue was a present from Santa and I'm nowhere near getting the best from it yet. It's a million miles away from what was my daily brush

give it a bit of time. i bought a semogue oc 2 band last year and it took a while for me with it, i was very close to putting it on BST. then it just seemed to change one week when it properly broke in, and now i love it. a wonderful brush.

Pre Veleiro soap + Musgo Real shaving cream + Vulfix 2234 Best + Weber Bulldog with Merkur head and Filomatic #2 + Herbíssimo balm + Penhaligon's English Fern EdT

Another excellent shave, gentlemen! BTW I found much easier to use this Musgo Real cream facelathering with it instead of using in bowl.

Cheers!

today's shave

autostropshave.jpg

Valet-Auto Strop
Feather FHS-5 Blade
NSS cedarwood & Vetyver shaving soap
Kent Bk8 Brush

Result smooth and pampered

First shave with this razor and I've been waiting since before christmas... and well worth it.

Fatip Grande
Crown blade
Boots shave stick
C&E badger brush
Proraso splash

first time using a Crown in my Fatip - I had 2 left so thought why not - and first time using the Boots shave stick. Not a good shave and really had to swear when the AS went on although no blood anywhere. however I'm still quite smooth even now. Don't understand it. Not a combo I'll be trying again through.

New goodies to try out...

Hot flannel
Proraso Pre, menthol
NF Tubby1 brush, Speick shaving stick
Fatboy (setting 5), Astra SP (1)
Cold splash & alum block
Clinique post-shave healer

Not bad at all for a first shave with a "new" razor, but played it safe with an Astra SP. Read somewhere that you can normally go one setting higher with a fatboy than a slim... so that's what I did
