SOTD SAT 30th JAN TO FRI 5th FEB 2016

Greetings

Thursday 4th February 2016
Prep: Shower
Razor: Pearl OC Head, EJ Top Cap, Ikon Bulldog Handle
Blade: Treet 'Black Beauty' Carbon
Brush: Semogue 1800 Boar
Soap: La Toja Stick Grated
Aftershave: Astral Cream (soft)
EDP: L'Air du Desert Marocain

The Edwin jagger top cap seems to completely solve the problem the Pearl razor has of misalignment of the blade. The Ikon handle seems to give the razor a little more aggression and this combination is now a superb DE shaver; not necessarily better than the 'New' but right up there with it.

Regards
Dick.

Hi. My de fuzz for today was a cracker.
Ikon 102 slant
voshkod
Executive Shaving silver tip
Palmolive shave stick (grated into a nice container)
post shave: Decleor shave balm
Floris JF EDT.
I'm loving the Ikon Voshkod combo, super smooth and zero irritation. As for the soap I know there are expensive artisan soaps out there for a pretty penny but the Palmolive does it all. Great lather, super slick and at 49p a stick if there is a better wet shave bargain I want to know where?
2 passes and a quick clean up for BBS. enjoy your shave today if you have one.

Hot Shower
OSP Sandalwood
New Forest Silvertip 2213
Muhle R89 Grande
Personna Platinum Chrome
Art of Shaving Sandalwood A/S Balm

Its been some time since I used the R89 cant believe the results from this mornings shave, 2 passes and touch up under the jaw line and around the throat. Completely irritation free BBS.

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Proraso sensitive
Soap: Stirling - Ozark Mountain (sample)
Bowl: Woodhead Pedestal
Brush: Whipped Dog 24mm synthetic
Razor: ATT R1 + Kronos handle
Blade: Rapira Lux (1)
After: Saponificio Varesino - Fern AS, Clarins ASB

Stirling has really impressed me today. First use of this Ozark Mountain soap sample. The lather was superb one of the best I've ever made; I can't think of any negatives.
I have some Stirling soaps from a few years ago and they had a lardy background scent but this newer formula does not. No skin reaction even though a quite powerful scent. The only downside of the scent, which is not a fault of the soap, is that the pine scent reminds me a little of bathroom cleaners. So it's more the fault of bathroom cleaners always focussing on pine.
The Lux blade pairs really well with the ATT razor. I got a lovely buttered toast raspy feedback and a superb BBS finish. Couldn't be better.
