This was my second cold water shave. I'm not sure if it's the soap or the cold water but absolutely zero irritation, my skin has never looked so good after a shave!

I swear, when I first saw a thread for cold water shaving a while back, i figured no way in hell that would work. Since then I've read a bunch of posts like yours. Pretty amazing.

I may give in and try that once sometime.

It really is good.

I'm still soaking the brush in hot, because I somehow instinctively think it will be easier to load. I may try that cold too tomorrow...

Gramps came over in the 1890's because he was tired of going out to the well with a hatchet to break the ice off the water; and sick of hard black bread. (and something about the Emperor!)
Hot water and white bread was good enough for him(straight edge too), they're still good enough for me!

What's my favorite doodler up to,

I'm not sure which Emperor you meant, but I'm hoping it's not the one I'm thinking about.

Hey, I hope you noticed I made your first quote even better! Yes, it's more exciting now.....

Pre shave - Arko

Soap - Tabac
A/S - Boots Witch Hazel gel followed by Tabac A/S lotion

DFS, a little irritation but BBS... job done!

Wasn't going to bother to shave this morning, but in the end I quite fancied one!

Merkur 34c
Astra SP (2)
EJ black badger
TOBS Rose cream

Did the job nicely and easily. The cream performs as well as any TOBS cream does and the scent's pleasant but unremarkable. If I were to have only one cream for the rest of my life, this wouldn't be it. Having said that, I think the same for all of the creams that I've tried!

Sat at Stansted airport. As ever, I got to the airport far too early than necessary. See you all in a few weeks!
