Cella shaving soap
Edwin Jagger 89L
Astra SP blade
Simpsons Chubby No1
eShave orange sandalwood balm

Thought I would try out my EJ that started me off with DE's and have just had a terrible shave with this. Felt light, slippery handle and after 3 passes I gave up. Not a great shave day today.

Prep: Cold Water Splash
Soap: MWF
Brush: M&F Blonde Badger
Razor: Polished Weber w/Bulldog
Blade: Super Iridium (2)
Post: Thayers Cucumber WH, Weleda ASB
EdT: Pen's Juniper Sling

Much better shave than yesterday when the quality of my lather let me down. Result: BBS :)

Have a great evening.

Hot flannel
Proraso pre, white
Simpson's Colonel X2L, Cella
Atlas R1, Sputnik (2)
Cold splash, alum block
Clinique post-shave healer

Sputnik not up to expectations... a bit nicky and required some touching up, even in my Atlas "no touch ups required" R1. Can't win 'em all!

Getting through the Cella like a dose of salts... thinking of getting a 1kg lump next time! Love it!

Proraso Pre/Post (Original formula)
Weber DLC / JEC handle in Copper / Rapira
Simpsons 'Rover' Manchurian Butterscotch
Palmolive Classic Shaving Soap
Nivea Replenishing Aftershave Balm
Penhaligons Lavandula

Another rather successful pairing of the JEC handle with a DLC head. Enjoying my morning shaves.

Evening, everybody.

Thursday:

Prep: Claus Porto Lime-oil face soap
Razor: Lord L122
Blade: Dorco (5)
Brush: The Soap Shed Super Badger
Shave cream: Super Max
A/S: Iris Sauvage

Hot Shower
3P cream
Cade Soap
Omega 10005 (thanks Geordie Shaver)
Red Tip Gillette
Lord Cool blade (1)
Alum
Proraso AS
L'Occitane ASB

First try of the 50 Lord Cool blades I got from Connaughts. Quite a few weepers, not too keen on these so far, still they may work better in the slant.

Prep: Cold Water Splash
Razor: English NEW LC with Weber Bulldog Handle
Blade: Elios Inoxidable #1
Brush: Simpson Duke 2 Best
Soap: Lea Stick
Post: Proraso Menthol Post Cream
Aftershave: Proraso Splash

A nice 2 pass cold water face lather shave

Still going through my untested blades, these were smooth enough, just not very sharp. No shave 2 for this blade.

Proraso pre
Duke 2 Best
Mike's Rose & Cedarwood Stick
Gillette 1966 Slim (#6)
Gillette 7oc Yellow (1)
Thayer's Superhazel
Cade ASB

First go with the Slim. Seemed very mild although the result was excellent. Efficient but not aggressive possibly. Had a 2 day growth to deal with.

Greetings

Good Friday 29th March 2013
Prep: Shower
Razor: GEM Heavy Flat Top
Blade: Treet Carbon
Brush: Vie Long 13061M Horse
Cream: La Toja Sensitive
Aftershave: La Toja Balm

A new Treet blade and a really superb shave. I did not palm strop this new blade as I am never truly one hundred percent sure as to whether it helps smooth the blade or it dulls it. Have a great Easter.

Regards
Dick.

Prep: Hot shower
Razor: Muhle R41
Blade: Astra platinum
Brush: NFB Tubby 2
Soap: Nanny's Old Grey Bristle Test
Cream: Kiehls Nourishing
AFtershave: Aqua di Colonia

Great lather from the Nanny's soap (one of 6 samples that arrived yesterday), and a BBS result, but with a couple of weepers, mostly on the very soft skin under my chin. Really like the R41, but will keep experimenting to find the best blade for me; Fido's brush gets better each time I use it :)

Sir Irisch Moos shave stick
Henk walnut silvertip
Progress on 2, 1.5
Gillette Super Blue
Boots Freshwood a/s

Good but not outstanding. Tried two if these blades and they weren't as sharp as other Blues I've tried. The others were Chinese blade PIFs; these were ones I purchased myself from Mister Tao.
