RE: SOTD SAT 23 June to 30 June ...

Saturday

Dovo Best Quality 5/8 Razor
New Forest 2201 Brush
Penhaligon's English Fern Shaving Soap
Thayer's Witch Hazel

I watched our hero willipeter last night, and noted some of his techniques. Today, I did almost full WTG and ATG passes, and it went much better than I anticipated.

Then, I went off to spend the rest of my birthday working for the RSPB.

RE: SOTD W/C saturday june 23 to friday 29

I just thought i would point out to the posters on SOTD, that this post was posted first, and SOTD runs for 7 days 23 to the 29 and not eight days as the other SOTD, just thought posters would like to know, but have no problem if you want to post in the SOTD that was posted after my SOTD post.

Today, a full roses shave!

2e2ny3a.jpg

Geo F. Trumper Roses shaving cream + Vie&Long Silvertip AC Edition + UFOBull "Long" with Feather Portable head and Gillette Platinum #2 + Thayers Roses "alum" + Herbíssimo balm

A wonderful shave! This handle makes that the Feather head shaves even better and deeper! Definitely I like long items, mates, hehehe. The only con a bit of blood because a grain, but here I have an alum stone for these cases.

Cheers!

RE: SOTD SAT 23 June to 30 June ...

Saturday night,

Pre-Prep: 2 glasses of Jura Superstition
Prep: warm wash and babyoil infused with menthol (may have to put a little more menthol in)
Soap: DragonsBlood/Palmolive soap
Brush: Wilkinsons crappest
Razor: An old PAL of the 'bay' for £4
Blade: Gillette Superthin
Post: Tendskin and Palmers

The result was the smoothest shave I think I have ever had, the PAL is old and not the nicest thing to look at but for me it shaves perfectly, never cut myself and always very smooth, with different blades. I would like it a little heavier but other than that it's my current razor of choice, sorry EJ89.

RE: SOTD SAT 23 June to 30 June ...

Erasmic cream (new)
EJ pure badger
Type L Schick Injector with NOS Schick Platinum blade

RE: SOTD SAT 23 June to 30 June ...

Aqueous cream
Merkur Progress at 2, 1 with Treet Platinum
Arko bowl lathered
Professor Blighty's universal shaving balsalm, sandalwood

Lovely smooth shave. Better than the Trigs.

Today's shave

Dove soap / hot face cloth
Gillette slim (set on no 3)
Feather blade
Taylor's sandlewood shaving cream
Geo.F.Trumper Skin Food To finish

BSS as ever.

Yesterday I skipped shaving because the postie knocked....and hey presto.......
One 150 watt bench grinder with polishing mops etc,etc ,so spent the day working on my two straight's with pleasing results. So far so good.

RE: SOTD SAT 23 June to 30 June ...

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage butterscotch Made Rite badger
'Webly'/Schick Plus Platinum (NOS)
TSD coconut SS
Guerlain Vetiver AS (old juice)
Malizia 'Vetyver' EdT (sprayed on like crazy because it doesn't last long). Really a nice light frag for a great price.
