SOTD Sat 1st Sept to Frid 7th Sept 2012

Palmolive stick
Vulfix 404 bristle & badger
EJDE89L, 7 O'C Green
RSC balm

I haven't been overly keen on Greens up until now, but that changed this morning. A quick and easy BBS. Excellent shave. Must have been some technique improvement in there somewhere.

Tuesday 4th September 2012
Prep: Shower
Razor: GEM Micromatic OC
Blade: Modern Stainless GEM Coated
Brush: Turkish No. 6 Horse
Soap: Füme
Aftershave: Dove Sensitive Balm

A great shave, but one tiny weeper, although the OCMM is 'fiercer' than my other SE's I'm not convinced the end result is any better, the first pass is always the closest I get with the SE's that I own but in the end (after pass three) the result is more or less the same.

If you were the sort of person that only shaved every two or three days, this razor (IMHO) would be absolutely perfect.

Regards
Dick.

Proraso white soap
Muhle synthetic 23mm
Feather SS with Pro
GEM to finish
TOBS Jermyn str AS (tester)
Institut Karite ASB

Lather wasn't brilliant, don't yet know if it's the brush or the soap - will have to experiment more. However a good clean shave with only a tiny nick on a chin, will be working on my technique with SS. Good start overall.

Also, this brush tends to be a bit messy, spittin lather all around. Otherwise should be good for travel (that's what I bought it for).
