Saturday:

After a morning of clearing snow, back home for a nice hot shower and a shave.

LEA stick
Vulfix 660
Tech
Feather
Pinaud Vanilla
Nivea Cool Kick AS balm

Nice enough shave, haven't used the Tech for ages. DFS I think. I was expecting more menthol from the cool kick balm, nice performance though.

Same again today. DFS+, just a couple of difficult spots that aren't totally smooth.

Liz Earle lavender Clenser
Liz Earle Shave Cream
Vie-Long Mixed
Merkur 33c
Astra ss
Liz Earle ASB.

Nice easy Sunday shave. Not so keen on the Astra blue so back to
The green one tomorrow.

Gillette Old Type
Croma Diamant (2)
Semogue SOC boar
Cella, face lathered
Witch hazel
Simple Rich moisturiser
Dior Homme edt

Relaxed, lazy Sunday morning. Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast with the paper and a coffee.

Arguably my best shave ever. BBS with the merest hint of irritation on the neck. Took shorter, slower strokes and a gentler touch.

New o/c head on stainless handle
Rapira Swedish Super-steel
Henk walnut silvertip
Nanny Cedarwood and Vetyver shaving soap
Paco Rabane XS a/s

This morning:

Prep: cold splash
Foam: Noxzema cocoa butter
Razor: Joseph Rodgers "The Favorite", restored by Jamie
Aftershave: Prof Blighty's Rosewood

Visitors imminent, cheeks unacceptable, three minute solution in one pass with the razor to hand. It's my least sharp in the rotation, and pulls on first pass especially on two-day growth, but works just fine.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage butterscotch Ever Ready badger
'Webly'/Schick Plus Platinum (NOS)
RL Safari SS
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic
Jean Desprez 'Versailles Pour Homme' EdT

I rarely wear this frag, although I really like having it in the arsenal for those rare times. The opening is pretty nuts and it takes a looong time before this settles into one of the best drydowns I have ever sniffed. Quite the journey with this old juice, and one that lasts a good 10-12 hours or longer. http://www.basenotes.net/ID26121651.html

BBS results,

Martin

Out this evening for a Murder Mystery Birthday Party

I know... was it you, in the bathroom, with a shavette?

I escaped this time......poison was the weapon of choice. Anyway......I work in a hospital bloodbank........I always have plenty of stock of my own group. When you combine motorcycling and shavette shaving (not at the same time) you are bound to need it sometime:icon_wink:

Today's Shave
sotd20.jpg

Push Button GEM Gold plated
GEM Blade
Kent BK8 Brush
NSS Cedarwood and Vetyver shaving soap

Results, Super Smooth and pampered :)

Fancied a Gem shave today but didn't want a micromattic's open comb's aggression,so when the mood takes me that way, this razor is just the ticket for me.

And while I ponder over my smooth face.....a coffee naturally :D
