Result: DFS. The Otoko is certainly a fine soap. First time for full facial shave with the Excelia and very pleased. Find it easy to manoeuvre around cheeks and chin and cut well.

Have a good day,

Jon

Today's shave

Gillette Red Tip
Feather Blade
Kent BK8 Brush
NSS Scotch Pine

Results BSS WTG

Got to love this combo, the Nanny's keeping that Red Tip / feather blade at bay. The Red tip has an unusual ballance as it's neutral just staying in the hand not moving, a deliberate act by gillette to help control the aggressive nature of this razor.

But don't be fooled into thinking these Red Tip's are not that bad, sure I've used more aggressive razors and gotten smoother shaves by far,but if you don't get things just so with a red tip,it's going to bite, the first time I shaved with it that's what happend to me :icon_eek:
just so you know:angel:

After the usual 1-2 minute hit towel prep:

vintage rebranded Simpsons best
'Webly'/Wilkinson Super Sword Edge (NOS)
Hirsh sandalwood SC
Malizia vetyver AS
No EdT for some reason

Second and last time using this cream. I don't quite know what to make of it. Used a bunch of product but it didn't produce as much lather as I was expecting. Slip and cushion was ok I guess. I mighta got the lather wrong again......this time I made it in a bowl which I rarely do anymore. Looked pretty good.

Well, maybe I'll go by and grab a sample of the lemon version sometime and see what happens. It's made by the brother of a guy who owns a cigar and pipe tobacco store not far from me. This guy just started stocking it, along with some DR Harris, T&H, and Merker items.

BBS results,

Martin

Thursday 24th January

Hot shower and facial scrub
Vitos Pre/Post Cream
GD #300 6/8 Razor
Semogue SOC Boar in Ash
Palmolive Shaving Cream
Alum Block
ReGen Oil
Blue Stratos AS
Brian's Own (Moustache Wax)

A really smooth, close and comfortable shave with 3 passes.

Hot flannel 1 min prep.

Weber Polished/Bulldog
Astra SP #3
MWF F.L.
FS Finest Badger 25mm
Alum

After my foray into Bic2 territory yesterday forced by way of time shortage, the closeness was short lived. Shave this morning was good and nice to have some 'weight' to the razor for a change. BBS result and little irritation - just a bit of sting from alum but lack of redness in lower neck noted.
