Today's Shave

sotd21213.jpg

Gillette Red Tip
Feather Blade
TOBS Sandalwood shave cream
Suribachi Bowl
Kent BK12
Geo.F.Trumper Sandalwood SkinFood

Results BSS WTG

This is the first time I've unleashed the Bk12 In the bowl, and after I'd satisfied the brush with the enormous amount of shaving cream it demands by just scooping and putting the cream into the bowl, the results were just as good as yesterday's.

The loony brush finally had it's chance of freedom and it loved it, my god that was overindulgence with a capital "O" :icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin:

Prep: hot shower
Brush: New Forest, Tubby 2
Razor: C V Heljestrand M K no: 8
Soap: Lea
AS: Lavanda
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very clean :D

This soap stick is da tits, da good tits - at least as good as Tabac or ARKO, in my book, but without the, erhh, interesting scent :D

Hot flannel
Proraso Pre, white
Simpson Colonel X2L brush, Nanny's soft soap, Tea Tree and Aloe Vera
Gillette Fat Handled Tech, Rapira SS (3)
Cold splash, alum block
Clinique post shave healer

Had to work gingerly around the excised-mole areas... so the Tech was deployed. Very smooth result.

LEA new stick scent, or his absence, is a mistery. With a good scent, they could sell it for five times the price.

THURSDAY AFTERNOON

Back to work tomorrow. :(

Consequently need a good shave to pass muster.

Weber DLC
Astra Platinum (2)
Semogue 1305
Woodhead suribachi with various hard soaps

Too cold for a cold water shave. Luxuriated in warm water and wiped away 2 days growth with no bother. Lovely.

Thursday

white proraso pre post
Semogue LE boar
Palmolive stick
FT rocket + super personna (2)
Thayers superhazel
white proraso ASB

result: 2 passes + touch ups. a good shave - close and comfortable

Sheeeesh, using a beloved children's toy is really hitting a new low (or high) when it comes to you enabling me with shaving crap. Yeah, of course I grew up playing with a yoyo. Heh, it was something a city kid could do without needing a big field. Stuff like cat's cradle, round the world, and lots of 'stick' time. Matter of fact, I still have an old one from the 80s around here somewhere.

Now I am really old, but I still remember a few of the various models than Duncan would come out with once a year. One was red lacquer with rhinestones and another was an all while one. We are talking late 1950s-mid 60s.

Next it'll be the Cobra pictured with a favorite dog breed of mine.....maybe being shaved?

Hi martin. I played yo-yo also when kid. Now i havve some yoyos bought nowadays. I have some duncan also. Regards. Glad my post was helpful to remember your kid days.

Yours was like this?
duncan-vintage-jeweled-reproduction.jpg

That's very nice.... I used to yo yo as a kid but never had one like that. I did get my old spinner out earlier for a refresh, it wasn't very successful. I'll stick to Walking the real Dog now.
