Result: First shave since Friday so went with the open comb for first pass and then Feather for finesse. Dr Dittmar is a fine soap, now I've changed to using it as one would use a shave stick I'm getting an excellent, creamy, unctuous lather, that leaves my face feeling very soft. Shave was excellent, lovely and smooth. I love the Rituals cream for after shave usage.

Have a good y'awl....

Jon

Brush: M&F Blonde Badger
Razor: Weber POL/Bulldog
Blade: Personna Med Prep (3)

Transferred Nanny's soft soap to a bigger tub, used a wetter brush to load the soap and had much better success lathering up today :)

Hot shower
Hot flannel
DR Harris Arlington cream scuttle lathered
Simpsons Emperor 1 brush
Weber POL stainless razor bulldog handle
Gillette 7 oclock yellow (1)
Cold rinse

DFS, a lovely smooth shave today. I used a cream today, a change from the hard soaps I normally use. Very easy to lather mounds of warm lather in the scuttle.

This morning:

Prep: Face wash, cold
Razor: Kinfolks Blue Steel Special, 5/8"
Brush: New Forest High Mountain Badger
Soap: Trumper's Eucris
Aftershave: Prof Blighty's Green Ginger
Scent: Trumper's Eucris

Apart from the nascent zit on my cheek, all is well.

Monday:

Merkur 37C slant
Gillette 7 o'clock yellow (1)
TOBS lavender cream
Rooney style 2 brush
Penhaligons English Fern EdT

Little nick on the top lip, sorted out with alum. Smooth shave.
As usual the Rooney shed like a bastard. It's such a shame, it lathers well... I'd want to get rid of it, only I wouldn't actually wish it on anyone.

Gillette Slim Adjustable
Personna Lab Blue (2)
Semogue SOC 2-band
Mitchell's Wool Fat
Lucky Tiger Face Tonic
L'Occitane Eau captivante

As a face latherer, this 2-band is a revelation. In terms of my two badgers, while my Kent BLK8 is a pillowy luxury with creams, this Semogue has soap completely under the thumb. Currently feeling very happy with my brush lineup!
