Shave of the day W/C Saturday 9th July

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep;

no brush

I've been meaning to try shaving without using a brush for lathering and today was the day. I'd read about the performance still being good, even without a proper lather, and sure as hell it worked pretty darn well.

Main difference I noticed was the cushion being less than usual, but the slick part made up for that as far as comfort goes. Yep, I'll take slick over cushion any day. Matter of fact, my shave might have been a little closer than usual because of how the blade waltzed around my face without much of a buffer.

As good a shave as I've ever had. OK, it doesn't smell as good as the dear stuff, but for 49p on the high street the Palmolive's ludicrously good. And this yellow seems to be going to last forever - maybe just a hint of being not quite as sharp tonight, but I am very cleanly shaven and comfortable.

Wow, since Neil changed honing set up the edges has become even better (no nead for letting them settle down, but still very sharp and smooth).

First time using this new to me Aristo,,,,,a recent find. Wanted to make sure this thing worked as it should and it performed well. This is one of those types I could use every day......very good fit.
