I haven't posted a shave of the day for a while, but today's' was exceptionally good.
Hot flannel
Merkur 34c
Treet Platinum (1)
Kent BK2
Palmolive Classic cream, bowl-lathered
Boots Freshwood AS
Nivea Sensitive ASB
3 passes, WTG, XTG, XTG/ATG hybrid.
Result: No irritation, DFS, as close to BBS as I've ever got.
Strange how some people (I'm thinking Canuck mainly) hate Treet blades. Today was my first go with them, after discovering that Shark SS blades were great in my Slim, but not good at all in the Merkur, and that the modern Wilkies were poor in the Slim but OK (if a little lacking in sharpness) in the Merkur. Well, I can honestly say that, if my experience with the rest of this pack of Treets is similar to today, I'll be buying them in bulk. Smooth, sharp, no tugging and hacked through over 3 days' growth in three passes to leave a very good result.
