At first scan on a phone screen I saw that as "eau sausage". I confess myself disappointed by the truth.

Early start tomorrow for some recreational Welsh driving, so an evening shave:

hot shower
Ingram's cream, face lathered with
New Forest Tubby 2
'58 super speed, with
Gillette 7OC yellow (5)
King of shaves balm

Lather a bit watery, but still a good and refreshingly mentholly result.

Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Simpson, Astor
Razor: Wade and Butcher, near wedge
Soap: La Toja
AS: Ogallalla, Limes and Peppercorns
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very close and an excellent Sunday shave :D

Sunday AM

EJ DE 89L
Crystal (3)
Grosvenor 404 Mix
Yardley Soap (at least 50 years old!)

Nivea ASB
Brut AS

Three pass, bowl lathered

Very smooth shave...I wonder why Yardley stopped making this soap? Money and fashion will be the business answer. As I said it's likely to be well over 50 years old and magnificent. Great smell and top-hole performance. I don't want to use it as often as I would like - it's probably irreplaceable.

Razor:Cuchilleria Veiga 7/8 restored by maximillian
Strop: Ambrose Cordovan (25/50)
Brush:Plisson #14 Haute Montagne, Horn handle
lather:Floris JF shaving soap
AS: Lotion Opaline de Chantelle
EdT:Annick Goutal, Duel
Comments:Simply luxurious, the Floris is an easy soap, too easy to get lather, as other soaps the 1st lather is airy and it's needed a bit of work to obtain a creamy and thick lather....once I got the lather the shave is almost done. A nice walk for the Veiga, close and comfortable shave, finished with the glory of god in a bottle, the freshness of the Opaline lotion, those nuns know very well how made an excellent aftershave. The fruity and fresh duel is the prefect finish for a great shave. Enjoy the Sunday.

Sunday

Edwin Jagger DE 89
Astra Platinum Blade
New Forest 2201 Brush
Cella Soap

Not used the Cella or the Bulldog in a while. Both performed very nicely, thank you.

Ian

Omega 49 brush
Tabac soap, face lathered
Gillette LD Rocket
Astra SP blade
Nivea ASB

First time with this aluminium Rocket, a nice smooth shave.

Prep-Hot shower
Razor-Sheraton O/C ( another monkey fron the good 'ole usa)
7O'Clock Black (3)
Brush- Neep Elite
Palmolive cream
GFT Sandalwood Skin Food
1st outing with the Sheraton O/C a big change from the Toggle, very nice 2 pass shave, slight nick on my neck but put that down to not being used to the razor.
Think one more shave with the Black and then onto a different blade.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage Marshall Fields badger
Schick M type adjustable injector/Gillette Platinum Plus (NOS)
IK SS
Caron 'Yatagan' AS (1970s version)

Didn't shave yesterday and just for the hell of it I decided to try the injector today. Used those blade a few times last week with good results and i wanted to see how it did whacking these many whiskers.

Damn, this blade's pretty darn sharp ( a good thing). Very little resistance mowing down the stubble.....smooth and quite comfortable. The shave's almost as close as when using my Fatboy/Iridium combo, and my face feels great afterwards. Hell of a good set up.

BBS results,

Martin
