After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage Marshall Fields badger
1946-47 Aristocrat/Iridium
The Soap Opera 'Himalaya' SS
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic
Jacomo de Jacomo EdT (older version)

Third day in a row using this type razor, and the shaves have been excellent as usual. For whatever the reason, this particular Aristo fits me better than most others I've used.

BBS results,

Martin

Wednesday

6/8 Texol No.5
Nanny's Ice & A Slice cream
Simpson's Commodore X1
Thayers Lemon Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera
Boots Essentials AS Balm
Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum

Used the last of steve's Rose soap sample today. Whipped up with the NF2201.
Run the slim adjustable with a new blade today. Tried a Trig. Not bad but not earth stopping. Not sure if it was the blade or the Slim, but it was quite noisy as well. Very loud cutting action. Anyway clean shave, no dramas.

Yeah, that seems to sum it up OK, for now.

Wednesday Night

Imperial Shavette
½ Wilkinson Sword Classic Blade
Omega 81052
S Maca Root Cream
Alum
Tabac ASL

OK this might be heresy but I'm liking the shavette a lot, quite different from a true straight and I did pick up 2 nicks and 3 weepers but over all a better shave. With a bit more experience I suspect I'll manage a blood free shave, not bad for <£3 delivered.

MWF Hand Soap,
GFT Limes SF as prep,
Sir Irisch Moos SS Stick,
New Forrest 2203,
Dovo 5/8,
Alum Block,
GFT Limes SF,
L'Occitan EdT.

Today really felt better.
Only had to finish round my chin with my DE!

Thursday - tried the cold water shaving today, it isn't going to happen much.

Gillette Mach 3
Simpsons 57 2 band super
Palmolive soap
Thayers
Brut EdT

I think the palmolive is often over looked as we luxury shave, and cheapo palmolive is seen as too basic, it's certainly good stuff.

Edit - never ever going to cold shave, ouch! Left a little raw and burney!

Thursday

Gillette Fusion
New Forest 2201 Brush
L'Occitane Cade Shaving Soap
Alum
L'Occitane Cade Aftershave Balm

Exactly the same as yesterday, so I'm not really sure why I posted. Anyway, the aloe strip is now depositing much less gunk on my face, which I prefer.
