Monday:

Merkur Slant 37c
Voskhod
Trumper Limes cream
Vulfix 404 bodger
Bulldog asb

I've been neglecting the Slant recently, in favour of the more elegant charms of the Jagger de87. I gave it a spin today though, as I'm testing the Voskhods and wanted to see how they perform in the Slant. Lordy! It may not be as pretty as the de87, but it sliced through the stubble like the proverbial hot knife through butter. An effortless, glorious shave :D .

The Voskhods have been superb in all 3 of my main razors - if only they weren't so hard to get hold of...

Monday

Hot towl
Gillette Super Speed.
Gillette 7 O' Clock Double Edged Razor Blades (Yellow box)
Pure Badger Shaving Brush
Blue beards revenage shaving cream
Alum
Witch Hazel (distilled from Boots chemist)
Trumpers skin food (Sandalwood)
Genuine Ogallala Bay Rum & Sandalwood Aftershave

Two quick passes as I shaved Sunday (WTG anf XTG) looked titdy enough for work.

This seemed to be a winning combo this morning and the bay rum aftershave is a little sweet but work very well with the cream and balm to soften the sweetness and gives that exotic style mix I was looking for. :D

Monday

Badedas Bath

2 day stubble
Cold water shave
T&H Pre-shave Oil
Feather AS-D1 - An amazing tool. :D
Feather (3) - This blade doesn't seem to be losing its edge yet, we shall see :D
NF HMB 2221 - This brush is just a joy to use. :D
Martin de Candre - Face lathered - This soap lathers like it really wants to. :D
WTG - XTG - XTG + touch ups
Superdrug WH
Trumper's Spanish Leather AS - Getting used to this scent now :D

Speechless!!!

Gloriously smooth, close shave with no ill effects whatsoever. One of my few shaves where everything came together beautifully.

Off to pose

TTFN. . .

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage butterscotch Ever Ready Badger
Stahly/Iridium
AOS SC
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic
Roger and Gallet L'homme 'Sport' EdT

Second shave with the Stahly, and today I tried it without the wind up feature. Turns out this razor is extremely mild......feels like a #2 Gillette setting. That means it's plenty forgiving, but still cuts pretty close with a sharp blade loaded in the thing. I have a feeling the Feather blade would be a good match for the Stahly, and maybe I'll try that next.

I gotta say I like this head design a fair bit.............very comfortable on my face. Not quite as close a shave as with some other razors, but still a good one.

BBS results,

Martin
