Excellent photos coming out, chaps. I'm particularly sickened impressed by your second one, oversaturn.

A dive into the green stuff today, then:

SOTD170411_5recolouredsmall.jpg

Gotta 120 barber's rasor; New Forest 2201 two band; Palmolive soap and cream superlather; witch hazel; squirt of Acqua di Parma.

Excellent, predictably enough. Lovely day here, hope everyone else is having a fine Palmolive Sunday.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage Marshall Fields badger
Stahly/Iridium (there's a combo I never thought I'd be using)
Surrey SS (pre VDH reformulation)
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic
Annick Goutal Eau d' Hadrien' EdT

Shaved with the world famous Stahly this morning, trying to keep an open mind. I was surprised to find the experience a pleasant one, although I wasn't expecting much luck.

I'll need another shave before I can completely figure out the technique and do a decent review, but so far so good. Very weird feel in my hand, as you can imagine.......heh. I will say it's on the milder side and very comfortable on my face.

BBS results,

Martin

Thought that I would slum it today. It's good to know that you can get a great shave without spending loads of money, albeit after spending hundreds of pounds to appreciate that fact.

Soundtrack: The Antiques Roadshow

Prep: Hot bath, Kyle's Prep, Baxter's of California Face Wash & Trumpers Sandalwood Skin Food

Cream / Soap: Mama Bear Glycerin Soap (courtesy of JohnnyO - Many thanks!)

Razor / Blade: Gillette Tech / Tiger ( " " " " )

Brush: Edwin Jagger Chatsworth

Post: Boots Witch Hazel, Clinique Post Shave Healer, Holland & Barrett 99.9% Aloe Vera Gel.

Comments:
A nice shave, I don't know why, but I was surprised at how much lather the Mama Bear provided. I suppose that looking at it when it's dry it's difficult to imagine it being so effective. Nevertheless, it gave a lovely lather and left a quite fresh sensation - particularly on my neck, which is very sensitive.
