Wednesday PM:

Muhle R81
Feather Hi - Stainless
EJ Badger brush

Tabac Original Soap
Nivea ASB

The Muhle does seem to tame the Feather blade, too early to rate it as #1
but it was a very close shave, Tabac soap exceptional.

Hot shower
New Forest T2
GFT almond cream, face lathered
Merkur 34C, Boots (4)
Nivea balm

Amazing punch of very recognisable almond when you start to lather the cream :). Excellent lather, enough for four+ passes from a, well, almond-sized nubbin.

A couple of mini-weepers and a little technical difficulty ATG on the throat but in all other respects an excellent shave - very very close and fairly comfortable.

Thursday:
Gillette Criterion (= NEW deluxe razor)
NOS Gillette Bleue extra
Arko shaving cream
Weleda ASB
Gave me a BBS, I smell funny now because of the Arko. It gives a good lather but the smell is a bit too much for me though.

Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Shavemac D01 two band
Razor: Roberts
Superlather: Dr Harris Almond + Arko cream
AS: Ogallala Limes and Peppercorns
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very close :D

I´ve been using to many hollow grinds lately and lost touch of how light handed you need to be with a wedgy Sheffield blade, like this. Not cuts or reall nicks, but a couple och mini nicks where the blade simply came to close.
Uberclean face and shave though :D

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage Marshall Fields badger
Bouhin/Stahly frankenrazor/Schick Plus Platinum
TGQ Leatherneck SS
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic
TGQ 'Leatherneck' extrait

BBS results,

Martin
