Shave before bed. which turned out to be a good idea as I managed a couple of nicks,so they had time to heal overnight. Topped up with a touch more balm and the EDT post shower this morning.

Truefitt & Hill 1805 after shave balm
Very cushiony and slick, Sharon's hard soap assisted for a very close shave. The use of the ProGuard blade made huge difference this time (been using a 'Light' Feather blade so far this month).
Roughly a week to go till I leave this place, mixed feelings, a valuable experience however it has indeed been two very hard years. Hopefully all the lessons learned will pay dividends from 2012 onwards.

Second shave with the Iridium. Not much closer than with the Super Speed yesterday. Not bad just not great. I even did the first pass on 9 before dialling down to 4 for the second (still feel the effects on my skin!)
don't think these blades are sharp enough for as close a shave as I like, but I'll try in my Merkur 38R and see how it fares there. It doesn't feel less sharp than when I first started so should be a reasonable indication.
