An acceptable 1 and a bit pass shave. The Bit is an area under my chin that just doesn't go on the first pass however I've shaved (Cartridge or DE).

My first shave with nanny's hard soap and I like it a lot.A nice slick lather perfect for a straight shave.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

1958 Executive/Wilkinson Stainless Steel (NOS)
Surrey SS (pre VDH reformulation)
SebaMed AS Balsam
Roger and Gallet L'Homme 'Sport' EdT

I have a few different old Wilkinson blades, and today I tried the dispenser simply labeled 'Stainless Steel'. This seems to be another quite nice relic, giving me a smooth and close shave. Actually, a very smooth shave would be more like it. Gotta love some of these old things.

I've used other Wilkys in the past, and they were better than average but not great. Not a blade I'd use every day, in other words. We'll see how this latest one performs as it's used more and in other razors, but so far so good.

Never really post in here, but tonight i had an outstanding shave....

Normally i use a SE Ever Ready, "E-Bar" Razor, GEM Stainless Blade, TOBS Cream, and a New Forest Tubby, thought i would mix it up tonight..!

Prep: Nice Hot Shower
Razor: User Grade, battered and brassed Fatboy on "5"
Blade: Supermax Super Stainless
Brush: No name huge floppy Best Badger bought from ebay two years ago.
Soap: Proraso (Green) Tub (need to use this more, it's great stuff !!)
Balm: Prorasso Milk
AS: Crabtree Sienna

Made some thick stodgy lather, and just painted it on with the big flobby brush, no art or finesse with this combo, just felt soooo good, fatboy just sliced through three days growth with ease, zero irritation, zero issues, face feels bloody lovely.

Liking the EJ89 and the Jack Black Gel which were delivered last week. Just a dab of the Pashana, strong stuff !! Lovely smooth shave. Off to Church this morning for the kids school service. Then back for more log cabin building over my neighbours.
