After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage Marshall Fields badger
1958 Executive/Bleue Extra
Surrey SS (pre VDH reformulation tallow version)
Barbershop Bay Rum AS

Tried this blade in my go to razor and it worked out well. Smooth and forgiving, although not quite as sharp as an Iridium. Overall, a pleasant blade that I can see many people enjoying. Thanks again to Max for introducing these to me.

Three pass, face lather.

Not one of the best; shaved at 0615hrs and been ready for another since lunchtime. I had thought that Feather and Slant would be good for more than one shave but alas not. I've felt scruffy all day. A few weepers also.

4/10, at best. Live and learn, I think!

Last of the sandalwood sample; I scooped out the almond-sized bit of cream remaining and inserted it in the heart of the brush, for a trial. Wow. Huge amounts of rich lather generated very very quickly.

The rest of the shave pretty good too, but demonstrated that 4 is probably my limit for this blade in this razor: a minor weeper only, but a demonstration that this thing needs a fresh sharp blade regularly.

On to the slim-twist tomorrow, I think.

Revisor 6/8 : Valobra Menthol : Semogue 2000 : Proraso pre/post cream

No picture today but a good shave nonetheless. Technique is gradually improving, now I try XTG and ATG as well and things are going very well.
The Revisor is a very nice razor, today I was careful with my technique and got very good results.
