Better and better ...
So far I've done 3 & 5, 4 & 6 and the last couple of days, 5 & 7 with today on the 7 plate. I noted that I enjoyed 6 more than 5 and today, I enjoyed 7 more than 6. Why? Well, I'm heavy-handed and always inadvertently end up applying more pressure than is necessary. While I'm not necessarily getting more or less aggressive shaves from the plates as the orientation of the blade in the head to the handle is more than perpendicular and so my technique is taken from the cap, the guard not actually functioning and the gap all but moot since I'm shaving daily.
But, what I will say is that on the lower plates my heavy-handedness can run unchecked; with the higher plates I'm subconsciously more aware and so take a lighter touch throughout the shave. I guess the face feel of the razor with the 5 plate is so that I'm kinda caught just shy and have to consciously lighten pressure, on 4 I will press to hard, 3 certainly so ... but with a 6 I specifically noted that I did not have to consciously lighten pressure and with the 7 absolutely not.
The last couple of days with a Treet Classic have been really nice. I find my face responds well to carbon and gives me softer regrowth. My strategy from here is to try a couple of shaves with quite the contrary a blade, something super-coated like the Super Shave X or the EuroMax Platinum. I guess I should pull some extremes, so probably 2 & 8, then 1 & 9 and for the finale ... the mighty 10!
