Predopobarba Proraso
Semogue 2000
D. R Harris Marlborough shaving soap
vintage Merkur Progress
Lamix Platinum Plus
Thayer's Witch Hazel Lemon
Manufaktura Beer ASB

Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Semogue 2012 Special Edition
Soap: La Toja
Razor: Weber POL bulldog handle
Blade: Astra SP (3)
AS: Lucky Tiger face tonic
ASB: E45 moisturiser

The Weber has provided consistently excellent shaves since arrival. The Semogue is on it's 4th use and performing well but I know there is better to come from it. I'm really getting to like the Lucky Tiger face tonic, it's refreshing just doesn't have the AS sting.

This morning:

Prep: Cold rinse
Razor: ERN 13/16"  "Crown & Sword", extra hollow
Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 in best
Soap: La Toja stick
Aftershave: Prof Blighty's Yellow Ginger
Scent: L'Occitane Eau Des Baux

I love everything about this brush except the lather it makes. I'll be damned if I can get it right consistently. All my other big brushes, and I have a few, are fine.

Wednesday 30 January

Hotel Shaving again in the gloom

Prep: Hot Shower, Nivea Q10 facial wash
Pre: Proraso White pre
Brush: Grosvenor 404 Bodger
Soap: Vitos Extra Super
Razor: Merkur 46C Travel Razor
Blade: Wizamet Polsilver # 2
Post: Alum, Thayers Witch Hazel, Pecksniff's ASB, Acqua di Parma AS

Result: All good this morning. DFS I'd say. I picked up the Pecksniff's during a lunchtime perusal at TK Maxx. I quite like it. Thicker than many ASB's which I prefer and absorbed very easily. It was down to £7.99 (from £35 which is outrageous) and, on first use, a worthy addition to my stash, before a self imposed purchasing break in February.

Good day to you all.

Jon

Wednesday:

LEA Menthol cream
Semogue 2012 SE
GEM Clog-Pruf
GEM blade
Witch Hazel
TOBS Shaving Shop AS
Nivea Cool Kick AS balm

A lovely cold water shave this morning. Nice kick from the menthol cream and cold water. BBS.

Morning, all.

Wednesday:

Prep: Claus Porto Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ DE89 head with an iKon Bulldog handle
Blade: German Wilkinson Sword (5)
Brush: Ecotools Bamboo Finishing Kabuki brush
Shave soap: Kell's Hemp/Aloe "Energy"
A/S: Home-made Lt Piver Heliotrope Blanc

Accidental BBS with no irritation. But then the Kell's always gives me an excellent shave so maybe not so accidental.

Greetings

Wednesday 30th January 2013
Prep: Shower
Razor: GEM Pushbutton
Blade: GEM Stainless Coated
Brush: Vulfix 404 Mixed
Cream: TOBS Sandlewood
Aftershave: RSC Balm

Really superb shave from the pushbutton, just a bit more touching up required on the neck with this milder SE razor.

Regards
Dick.

Pre hot towel with Veleiro soap + Penhaligon's shaving soap + Vie&Long 13061 TGN Finest + Schick Krona with yellow Gillette + La Chinata balm with 4711 cologne

First shave with this old english soap! It performs well, although it hasn't a remarkable scent.

BTW, I think that this Schick is probably the best TTO I have had.

Cheers!

Fat handle Tech
speick shaving stick
Timor blade
Henk walnut silvertip

Poor shave. I last used a Timor probably getting on for two years ago, probably in my Merkur 38R. It seemed good and lasted a long time. But this one in the Tech and the Progress wasn't very smooth and struggled to get close.
Disappointed

Wednesday 30th January

Hot Shower and Facial Scrub
Shavex Brushless cream as a pre shave
Ford & Medley 333 5/8 Razor
HJM Black Fibre Brush
Klar Kabinett Soap
Witch Hazel
Argan Oil
Denim Unleash AS
Morgans Classic Pomade
Brian's Own (Moustache Wax)

Back to normal today. I had a bit of a Family emergency and had to go to Leamington Spa on Monday. Imagine my disgust when I discovered that I had forgotton to pack my shaving kit. Consequently I ended up shaving with the above mentioned brushless cream and a single edged Bic. Not good.
The Shavex as it turns out is an acceptable pre shave cream. Todays shave was very close and comfortable with 3 passes.

Wednesday evening
To avoid the morning rush

Hot towel
Proraso pre
Duke 2 Best
TOBS Almond SC
Merkur 34c HD
Personna Red
Thayer's Witchhazel astringent, original
Penhaligon's Endymion AS balm

Back to my go to razor after 3 days of using the Muhle R41, as my face needed to recover a little.

My first use of the TOBS almond SC and of a Personna blade .... both were wonderful. Have yet to find a bad TOBS SC. Still working through my 12 samples.

Good night!

L'oreal for men facewash.
Muhle R89 razor with Personna red #2
Henks Dutch Moss shaving soap.
NF Super badger brush.
Professor Blighty's Old Leather aftershave.
Acqua di Selva EDC.

Nice shave, really like the Old Leather aftershave, good stuff as always from the Prof.
