Morning, gents.

Thursday:

Prep: Claus Porto Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ DE89 head with an iKon Bulldog handle
Blade: German Wilkinson Sword (6)
Brush: Ecotools Bamboo Finishing Kabuki brush
Shave soap: Arko stick
A/S: Professor Blighty's Yellow Ginger

Professor Blighty's Grapewood shaving soap
Henk walnut silvertip
Schick injector M type on 1 with modern Schick blade (fourth or fifth use, still fantastically smooth and sharp!)
Professor Blighty USB, Tuxedo
I love the Grapewood. It was making my mouth water as I lathered it up! Grapefruit on a brush!!
Superb shave!

I treated myself to two of my birthday presents early :-S - Vitos aquarelle sample and the Sir Irisch Moos deodorant stick. Like the Moos - pine and greenery, not Toilet Duck-esque as I first feared. The Aquarelle is very nice; reminds me a little of Speick.

Hot shower
Proraso Pre, menthol
NF Tubby 1 brush, TOBS Sandalwood cream
Gillette Tech/Weber Bulldog handle, Astra SP (3)
Cold splash, alum block
Clinique post-shave healer

Bit unsure at first... not much stubble to go at, but I want to be off early(ish) in the morning so didn't want a rushed shave before me brain had woken up. The Tech was the best choice and very good results

Thursday 31st January

Hot Shower and Facial Scrub
Shavex Brushless Cream
Kai Captain Excelia (Japanese Style) /Feather Super Pro.
Semogue 1470 Brush
Nanny's Forest of Norway Soap
Alum Block
Organic Shea Butter
SD Forest Fresh AS
Morgans Classic Pomade
Brian's Own (Moustache Wax)

On Nights last night so a late shave for me. 2 passes for a BBS.

Edwin Jagger DE89L, single shim, Feather blade (1)
Simpsons Colonel X2L in best badger
Mitchell's wool fat shaving soap
Witch hazel
Taylor of Old Bond Street Mr Taylor's aftershave
Astral moisturising cream

First time with a Feather blade for a while and it didn't seem to give any better results than a BIC or Personna 'Lab Blue'. All was well after the shave but irritation started to develop around an hour afterwards. I'm not sure if this was down to the Feather or the aftershave. Taylor's aftershaves do seem to cause drying and irritation on my skin whereas the Blue Stratos is much gentler and Steve's Barbershop Bay Rum best of all. Perhaps the Feathers are just too sharp and harsh for my skin? Of course, it could just be down to technique.
