A lovely shave this morning albeit a little hurried as I was head chef and after preparing dinner things time was a little tighter than planned. Family arrived 5 minutes early just as I was finishing getting dressed. Its been a lovely family day and now our visitors have left, so calm is restored.

The brush needs a bit more breaking in....but over all this was a special Christmas shave. The first time I have used the brush and the razor. Three passes to give a really close and comfortable shave. Merry Christmas to everyone!

The first time that I have used any Speick product, and very nice it is too. The scent is familiar, and reminds me of somewhere or somebody from my past, but I just can't nail where or who!

A two pass super BBS shave from the Wade and Butcher, I'm using the Semogue for the next few shaves as I'm trying to speed up the breaking in process, Still the brush just whips up a superb lather and won't need much effort several more shaves with a few test lathers should do the trick.

Don't have time to take photos as we are off out on our travels shortly. But Yesterday and today were two of the best shaves I have had........EVER!!!

Prep was nothing more complicated than a shower and Nannys Patchouli hand/body soap
A lovely lather with Nannys Patchouli shaving soap
First WTG pass with a Jaque Coudert "Celunic Special" straight
Following two passes with a Gillette Rocket TV Special and Feather, both across but in opposite directions.
Steves magnificent Bay Rum

Been a long time since I used a straight in anger, hence the reason for a single pass with it until I re-learn my technique. I am pretty pleased though, I managed the first pass without a single spot of blood :)

A very nice shave. Extremely pleased with the brush, it's a good cut above my vie-longs.
