A very nice shave, this razor head and handle make an excellent pairing.

went a bit menthol today -

glycerin soap/hot water
nuage menthol shave oil
ingrams shave cream
isana boar brush
39C slant
Polsilver super iridium (7)
algado glacial mentholated splash
aloe vera moisturiser
quicksilver edt

the heavier slant worked wonders today. a smooth shave on the 7th outing from the SI.

This razor is a christmas present from Mrs J so this shave never happened GOT IT!!!

Love this razor, it's not as aggressive as a gem Micromatic so if you was thinking about trying a GEM style razor and don't like an aggressive razor this is one to think about.

Any way I've payed for it, so Ive got to make sure it's mechanically sound... that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! :p Got to hand it over to MrsJ in the morning for wrapping :icon_cry2::icon_cry2::icon_cry2:

Shave was a little bit harsh this morning, but I sometimes find that the first shave with one of these new SE blades can be like that. Still, BBS results.

A tip I picked up from one of the straight shavers here (apologies but I can't remember who) was to run the blade across a Champagne cork before first use. I do this on feather SE blades and it seems to just take off the really aggressive edge.

Dfs. I wouldn't be able to get any closer with this particular blade. Bit of tug too so might have been a duff one

A super smooth two pass shave from the Maxotte, what an incredible grind on this razor the finest I've seen, you can actually flex the blade if you press it firm enough, hats off to who ever ground that blade.

A/S: Dynamic Pulse (now finished)

I was pressed for time this morning so again went for a one-pass ATG. When I started DE shaving, I never dreamt that would be an option for me, but I'm closely shaved and look tidy. Result.
