My shave from 2 days ago was themed 'A glorious shave'

A glorious Razor - Stainless Colonial General
Blade and glory - Schlick Proline
What's the story morning glory? - Cadman Tuxedo in carbon fibre
Glorious glorious glorious - Signature soaps Hibernian
Glory hole - ESC Duine Fon Choill

Started with every good intention of posting on time, but my world of intention fell apart with unintended work which lasted two days. Other than that I am useless and wouldn't have it all any other way.

Anyhow, prepare soap, apply to face and present razor to skin. Wow now this is probably the smoothest shave I ever had in my whole life. But wait, one minute, why am I as fluffy as when I first set blade to meet facial hair? Ah ah, that is why, because there was no blade in the razor. One of those 'Duh' moments.

Start again and this time with some form of cutting tool in there. In this case a Schlick Proline. Now I was never really keen on these blades some months back, but as time has passed and my technique worked its way around the fact that these are bloody sharp pieces of stainless steel I am starting to appreciate why folk rave on about them. Absolutely superbly smooth and incredibly efficient. Loving them.

Another outing for the Signature soap and every good reason why they are crawling up my shaving soap tree. Everything to love about them and nothing to dislike. A big plus vote from here. With the Cadman in on the act the two produce that wonderful lather a great shave needs. A fantastic double act.

One peanut butter smooth shave later and all that is required to polish off one glorious shave is a glorious scent. A good splash of Executive shaving's Duine Fon Choill and shaving duties for the evening complete. Smelling all Dione Fon Choilled and drowning in a sea of divinity. I had another great shave this evening and I am sure I'll get around to posting sometime during my lifetime.

Have a great week ahead everyone and if your shaves are as good as this one, then kudos and enjoy the luxury.

And I leave you all in the hands of those gloriously beautiful Japanese ladies, Band Maid

Used the second Signature Soap sample today - the Hibernia. A lovely citrus smelling soap and an unsurprisingly good performance. This is a really nice smelling soap!

I took it easy tonight and did 3 quick passes with no touch-ups. I'm really enjoying the slant and can maneuver it around my face quickly and easily. This is earning its spot in my top 5 razors.

Excellent choice on the soap. It smells fantastic!

Do you get a strange tingle from the Duine Fon Choill aftershave? I have the same one and get a strange 'burn' from it when I use it. I'm trying to work out if that's part of the intended experience or if there's something in there that disagrees with me.

In total agreement on the soap and see quite a few passing good words.

The Fon Choill? No burn whatsoever so there may well be something in disagreement. It's either that or I have hardened leathery skin you could sand wood with. Which I do.

I find it settles easily and I absolutely love the scent. A corking aftershave splash.

Pre-shave: Warm rinse / Proraso White pre-shave cream
Brush: Stirling Soap Company Finest Badger
Cream/Soap: Signature Soaps Caledonia croap
Razor/Blade: Claymore / Schick Proline
Post-shave: Thayers Cucumber / Xtro Mare aftershave / Bart's Balm Lime aftershave lotion

This is my 2nd use of the Signature Soaps sample. The Caledonia scent it a subtle and pleasant experience with a small amount going a long way. With this croap I sat down to lather it and gave it a good few minutes. An extra few drops of water along with a wet Badger brush had a rich creamy lather. Again, the scent was strong as it was painted on.

3 incident free passes flew by with good slickness from the lather between each pass. After a final rinse I did feel my skin was a little bit dry but my post routine soon had things how I like.

A good BBS shave this evening.

Have a great night folks

Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/ Original Source ~ Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.

Pre:

Cold wet flannel to my face.

Pears ~ Transparent Soap.

Brush: Chinese Unbranded Horsehair.

Face Lather.

Frankensoap : Williams Shaving Mug Soap / Scottish Fine shaving soap.

Blade: SuperMax ~ Blue Diamond Titanium.(1)

Razor: Parker 24C Open Comb.

Post:

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade menthol crystals +Eucalyptus peppermint,+ Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./ Blue Stratos ASL.

Wilko ~ Men's Moisturiser.

Greetings,

It's been ages since i last added the parker 24c to my razor rotation,as it's 1st of October today i thought i would start the month off with a open comb razor shave.

Open comb razors have a reputation of been aggressive, they can be, but any razor can if not treated with respect which can lead to a horrible wet shaving experience. I find open comb razors very smooth & efficient, and match up really well with most de blades, the only thing which i find you have to do with the parker 24c, as with all my parker razors, is to use a steeper shaving angle which was a little awkward at first, but once i trained my mind to adjust,i've been rewarded with sublime comfortable shaves.

A wonderfully smooth 3 pass + pick ups near bbs shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of Wilko ~ Men's Moisturiser.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling devine.;)

Enjoy your day, ladies & gentlemen.
