SOTD: 29/12/2021

Razor: Hone 15
Blade: Gillette Nacet, 3rd use
Brush: Knothead Brush Works 26mm AP Shave Co. Synbad
Bowl: Captains Choice Copper Lather Bowl Standard Bowl
Prep: Baxter’s of California face scrub
Preshave: PAA Cube Unscented Soap
Soap: Master Soap Creations Night On The Town Puck
Aftershave: Jean Paul Gautier Le Male EDT
Balm: Clinique For Men Moisturising Lotion Lotion
Additional Care: Osma Laboratoires Alum Block

I love this combination, great razor, fantastic brush that was an even better latherer on the 2nd use, superb soap that smells divine, started with a super scrub from the Baxter’s in the shower. I had a small travel Clinique lotion I’d not tried before in the back of the cupboard and it was lovely and moisturising definitely want to grab a few more lotions to try as it suited my skin better than some balms I’ve had in the past. The only thing that could have been better was if I’d have added a Feather blade but the Nacet did a fine job too. Now the family are Covid free onto our delayed Christmas Day get together and food gorging!
All the best guys, have a great day!

A man with a very impoverished start to life in the Scotland Road area of Liverpool and even though he made for a better life he never forgot where he came from. And in his mind he never left.

A man with bad taste in music, but I forgive him. He more than likely thought the same about me. But here is one of his favourites Jimmy Shand who for the past 38 years I came to avoid the best I could. But it's not my day

But I will give it that this was one superb shave in memory of a lifetime wet shaver. Jimmy you'll be missed.

And since I had 38 years of Jimmy Shand you can have this from me.....Hope you are listening

My condolences to you and your family, my friend.

Having lost my father in law one year ago, I know too well the feelings. My sincere condolences Chris.

  • Prep: Face wash
  • Brush: Yaqi 26mm mysterious space tuxedo
  • Razor: Tatara Nodachi
  • Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (3)
  • Lather: Martin de Candre - Original - Soap
  • Post Shave: Taylor of Old Bond Street - A gentlemans aftershave lotion
  • Fragrance: ATH Onyx
Nice and quick 3 Pass shave. Nodachi is really making it's space in the den - great razor that I'd say is mid-aggressive.

Recent shaves were with borrowed Vector and Sabre L2. In the end turned out that I don't like the sabre as much as I thought I would, whereas I love the Vector - so will be picking it up sometime in the future.

MdC performing well as always enabling for trouble free smooth shave. Happy chappy here. Finished off with some TOBS gentlemans aftershave lotion.

Maybe not as amazing to the skin as some splashes, but it does feel great, especially if it's combined with more 'nourishing' soap.

Im Phoenixd up to the max :ROFLMAO:
Ah why not ah
The soap is tremendous i love it
a homage to Old Spice.
When i first seen my wife after my shave she said ooh what a smell of mothballs have you used Old Spice Again :ROFLMAO:
That’s the wife’s trained nose mothballs lol
but genuinely it does have the scent.
This CK6 formula is wonderful.
i lathered up far to dry on purpose as i really enjoy lathering up & dipping the tips in water until i have a luxurious lather,
I can actually spend a good 10 or more minutes lathering if i’m in a relaxed mood.
The Brush is a new one for me
PAAs latest and for me possibly one of their best looks & performance wise
they really are great brushes for £20 ish.
Also These Razors are brilliant and not as aggressive as you would think with them being double edge slants.
Over all this was a 10/10 shave with no weepers but a fair bit of sting with the aftershave.

Just a quick one lads my son works at the Edinburg Airport & 12 staff struck down with the virus today.
I’m on my first day of antibiotics so should be back to being a clown on a couple of days lol
Stay Safe
