Nothing quite as brisk as a shave with a fresh GEM!

Putting Artisinal April on a back-burner for a wekk so I can have a proper go with my newly acquired vintage Floris Elite. Superb lather with a lovely glide. Quorum was a good match for the soap which is left with a mostly mossy earthy woodiness. Smashing!

The Fatboy was great again and I had another lovely shave with it at a mix of 7 and 6 on the passes. I finished with a layer of the Philos Pura with the Porto Neroli for a more fresh citrus blast. A great shave!

Not too much to say today as the shave was lovely, I will say though that the London bridge doffed it's cap and bowed out tonight after giving me a tuggy shave.
Shame as it was going strong, I find Feather blades similar in that they shave great but when they give up the ghost it's done over night.

Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
Brush: Omega 10066.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Haslinger Aloe Vera Shaving Soap.
Blade: Gillette 7'O Clock SharpEdge. (Russia) (D1)
Razor: Parker 87R.

Post:

Early morning shave,

(Face & Head Shave)

The Haslinger Aloe Vera shaving soap provided a superb lather I have two Haslinger soaps Schafmilch Sheep Milk & Aloe Vera the only difference with the Aloe Vera soap is it doesn't contain lanolin and like the Schafmilch Sheep Milk has a very faint clean fragrance when wet.

I've mentioned before in my posts that if you like a shaving soap with a strong fragrance, then you will be disappointed with Haslinger soaps ,as both soaps have a mild unique fragrance which will put some people off using.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Men Sensitive ASB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.

Ikon meets a Brazilian, and what a super combination. These blades are a damn sight sharper than I thought in the context of this razor. It's moved from aggressive in to the realms of effing aggressive. But treat with respect and what a rewarding experience. Chuffed? Fucking ecstatic.

And the eclipse? Good job the beach bar was open, I could dream of better beach days..

Gillette red and black, Lord blade, RR Emperor soap, silver traveller brush
The razor has been re-plated and the brush re-knotted, nice way to keep these oldies going for more years. Now where can I get myself re-bodied for a few more years

Nice shave but I think the Lord blade is on the way out, the oc razor is aggressive enough to expose roughness from a dull edge blade, so there was some soreness as a result.

Morning Guys i hope you are all well.
It’s been a fair bit of time since i was on due to work commitments.
Or should i say due to being shattered.
Lucky if im shaving once per week & i hate it.
Iv now spent 8 weeks in Angola and was due home today however my job has issues in Indonesia so heading there for a couple of weeks before i finally make it home.
I just love this Body Shop stuff it’s really underrated by myself but a great travelling set up.
Iv got around 10 soaps with me & im lucky if iv used half of them.
Never mind hopefully i get back to normal when i reach Bintan.
4 Days travel is brutal.

Yes, this was last night’s shave, but I fell asleep before posting it (what can I tell you - I’m old all right?) Very nice shave with the big Merkur and Rapira combo, used with Proraso cream that I haven’t used for a while. Really nice, smooth and comfortable with excellent after shave feel and smell. Great!
