1st try of the Rose cream sample from Sonny; I'll use the rest tomorrow before writing up my impressions of it on the cream thread. I'll also be writing up a short review of Nanny's Warm Spice cream which I was testing a sample of last week.

Prep: Wash face with glycerin soap, massage lather into beard followed by hot
towel.
Brush: Simpson PJ2 Best.
Cream: Tom’s of Maine.
Razor: Merkur Slant/Gillette Swede.
Post: Thayer’s Witch Hazel, Clubman.

Been off my schedule recently and shaving in the morning. As I’m slow to wake-up a Slant is a better choice. Can’t wait to get back to a straight and my ritual shave!

A nick or two but overall a very good shave.

Followed a recommendation by Fido (in one of his posts) and practiced lathering last night using bristle and badger brushes with a variety of soaps and creams. Very useful, as there's usually not much time for error every am.

Same gear as yesterday but slightly different lathering method. I usually lather in my hand with creams, and that's what I did yesterday, but this morning I face lathered and got a better result.
