the super blue blade was pretty rough on me, i have plenty of blades that i get on well with to stop using ones that dont agree with me, lesson learned. i just received a sample of the clarins balm which rescued the situation, its good stuff.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

Savile Row badger.....big old knot that's fun to use with creams
'Webly'/Super Max Tiger Super Platinum
Xpec SC
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic
Aramis 'Havana' EdT (old juice that luckily smells like the new stuff).

Tried a new to me blade, given by a friend who bought 100 blind and hasn't tried one yet. Figured I would test drive it today and it was a good time. Yeah, I believe he will like these things.

If some of you are looking for a spicy tobacco frag, this juice would do it. Great bang for the buck scent that lasts a good while.

I wasn't gonna use the Xpec today and then I did. Sheeesh.

First time using the J. Peterman cream. Very nice. Lathered quickly and had a unique scent I haven't smelled before.

My first shave with the H2 plate that arrived today, i had an excellent shave, it shaves just like the R2 but gives a closer shave.

I would compare the shave to a Fatip (with Bulldog handle) or iKon Standard (2013) as it is a very smooth shaver. Not at all like the Muhle face scraper, but gives a very similar result.
